If you have the money I would say get it, but personally in my opinion, dont expect the same gaming experience you can get from your 360 right now. Its hard to compete with the enjoyment of the game library 360 has right now. Now dont take me as a hater, cause I'm not. I just recently bought a PS3 and it has some amazing features, the ability to play blu-ray out of the box is nice and the PSN-Store is really cool... a part of me likes it better than the Marketplace. However if you are into shooters and shooters only I think the 360 handles them better, I love the layout of the 360 controller far better than the sixaxis when it comes to FPS games. But as you have read on other threads the PS3 has a amazing line up this year with alot more exclusives coming to it than the 360. Also if you want backwards compatiblity try finding a 60gb on ebay or buy a 80gb, just know that the 80gb is emulated so it doesnt support as many games as the 60gb.

Well, thats my 2 cents worth and I'm sure I'll get flamed for saying the 360 is currently the more fun of the two, but its my opinion and I'm not stating it as fact. Plus if any of you people are true gamers and want to get the best experience you'll own both consoles, not just one.

I know the 80gb PS3 does not have a EE in it, its emulation, but does it upscale the PS2 games as good as the 60gb version PS3?

Hmmm... you could try hooking up your PS3 with the provided composite cables and going to system settings and seeing if you can manually change the HDMI output resolution. Does your TV support 1080p?

[QUOTE="kenken2g"]OK I know that this probably has been discussed before. But has anyone experienced the difference between HDMI 1.3 cables and 1.2? Is there a difference in clarity or something?bizzy420

yea its called google, try it.

If your just gonna be a arse dont reply at all :/

1.3 like stated earlier has a much better color range, it also supports Dolby HD as well as DTS HD surround sound, 1.2 can't do that. At least I know thats the difference between version 1.3a and 1.2 in hardware, but I would guess the cables are the same.

Hmm.. not sure I worked store manager at Gamestop for a little while and the only converter I remember getting was for the Memory Card. Unless something has come out since then, I really dont think it will work. Wich sucks cuase if not choking up another $100 for 2 more controllers is steep.

DS2 will not work with PS3, as it only has USB ports not the old PS2 controller ports.

Because you're a fanboy :|
I don't like MGS4 or GT5, but I don't deny there'll be killer apps.

Good too know I'm not the only one that dislikes MGS4.

Fable 1 was one of the biggest games for the original Xbox, and Fable2 is going to be leaps and bounds beyond it.
