Nope! I personaly HATE load times with a vengence, They are short enough to keep you at your console/PC but long enough (by majority) to let boredome creep in. Staring at a static screen with maybe enough time to sprint to the toilet/kettle/Larder depending on the game is very distracting and i'd rather just seamelessy play from the secondI want to 'till the second I press Pause andTHEN wander to the kettle/toilet/larder. Long live the instant loading CART!
fazedjb
I was not talking about load times... we all hate that, just the simple fact of changing disc... and those people that hate it your probably just to lazy to get your fat arse out of your seat! :p
Ok, I know there is this big ongoing thing about some bigger RPGs for the 360 spanning several disc and that its just showing that the 360 should have went with a next gen format so they would have had more disc space for games, but is it really all that bad? I mean, to me it reminds me of the good days when I would put in a big rpgs for my playstation and when I finally got to the end of disc 1 I was like "YES! I'm getting somewhere I finally get to put in disc 2!" Now dont get me wrong I have nothing against next gen format after all I did go out and buy a HD-DVD addon for my 360 plus a Samsung Blu-ray player... yes, I was against the ps3 that much, and yes I realize I should have bought a ps3 and probably will be getting one very soon. But to me like I stated earlier, changing disc just makes me feel like I've accomplished something... is their anyone here that agrees with me?
Some of you people are trully amazing. First off Blu-ray is not just Sony, Sony is just one of the many companies who helped created the Blu-ray Disc Associaton, other companies whereMatsushi ta,Pioneer, Philips, Thomson, LG Electronics, Hitachi, Sharp, and Samsung. Just like HD-DVD was created by Toshiba and NEC. So to really say HD-DVD is MS and Blu-ray is Sony, is well pretty much just showing your fanboyism, as well as saying that people will have to buy your product to in fact any of you work for any of the companies supporting either format?
So really I just dont see what the big deal is if MS decided to go with Blu-ray. But you people saying that they need it for games. MS will never use HD-DVD or Blu-ray for games because that would be putting millions of users without a way to play their games.
As concerning DVD-9 not having enough space for games, your right it probably dont, but thats why they can put games on multiple disc and it still probably comes out cheaper than dealing with a new gen format. So you dont like getting up and changing the disc... then your probably fat and lazy and should be doing something other than munchin' on tatar chips and drinkin' beer and I dont know.... hit the gym???
