ok heres what you want to look at....
If Graphics are youre thing get bf2142
If infantry are youre thing get 2142
If Vechials are more youre thing get bf2
If you like Flying Bf2
If you like driveing 2142
If you are looking for ranks and upgrades get 2142
If you want to get into the action with less Fiddleing with weapons bf2
Its really what youre about....
BF2 has more booster packs but it sounds like ea has stopped makeing more software upgrades...
But where as bf2142 is newer it has less software upgrades but will be getting more very soon
I personally prefer 2142 but in the end its youre personal opinion..... ALSO
1. "Cheaters" are actual non exsistant in both games.... well to the same exact extent! they both use the same protection PUNK BUSTER PB
2. If you download the demos please realize that 2142 is NOT EVEN CLOSE to how much fun the game really is... if my friend didnt show me the games after i played the demos i would have gotten 2. Why? because without upgrades and lack of people in the demo servers its just a empty shell. The BF2 demo is closer but not quite.
Eventually get both, but which one you get first is up to you
