The problem is that it happens with any game I play.

Assassin's Creed 2? Freezes.

The Saboteur? Freezes.

Battlefield Bad Company 1? Freezes. Offline and Online gameplay.

Mercenaries 2? Freezes.

Sometimes it happens at loading screens, others it just happens when I'm playing. When the PS3 was new, I thought it was the Bad Company disk. I didn't know how it happened but the disk had a noticeable scratch on it's center. I think this was my PS3's fault. The game was brand new and I got it the same day I got the PS3 and just after inserting the disk and them removing it I noticed the scratch.

It freezes frequently when I'm playing The Saboteur and Bad Company 1 online. It froze two times on loading screens with Mercs 2. It has only froze 3 or 4 times with Assassin's Creed 2.

This happens like 10 or 15 times a month.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, assuming the robber in in a room, I'd close the door and obstruct it with chairs, tables, any kind objects and then call the police. =P

But I would obviously panic. I would not expect someone to be inside my house at 2:30 AM...
