Rome is by far the best of any of the Total war games and has the best mods for it (search for Europa Barboarium sp?). Medieval 2 TW is a huge step up in graphics from Rome, and changes the mold with more units on the campaign map, and castles/cities which adds a little more strategy. I however hate Empire total war, as I think the game is wayyy to simplified compared to the earlier versions. Combat is bland and the AI is buggy, also fighting with muskets is just not as fun as using a huge phalanx to shield your spearmen that are attacking an invading elephant army!

Antec 1200 for sure! The beast is huge, amazing airflow, and its beautiful! One thing to note though is that there is only room for 2 disc drives in it.

In general, Intel/Nvidia are higher end, big money items that perform at the highest standards. Ati/AMD on the other hand are way better price for the power you get. If money is not a question then go with Intel, if your an average gamer than AMD/ATI is the way to go!

Sorry but I have to disagree with you competly. Old school games are lacking in graphics, and maybe in controls sure, but their indepthness, character development, and sheer fun can completly overrun the crap of games that are produced today. Once you can get past the aesthetic, and submerge yourself in the game, you will have a blast

Seems to me you would like Icewind Dale, Icewind Dale 2, or Temple of Elemental Evil. They are great old school RPG's, but much more focused on combat, and the later of the three is extremely difficult!

Just wanted to give an update on my situation. Me being so furious with sony I refused to send it in, I instead was busy with school and stopped playing the PS3 all together. Well just the other day I figured why not, i popped a blu-ray movie in and it worked. I was shocked, tried my other discs, and now it works prefectly fine again. Do NOT ever send your PS3 into sony. Im sure they have some money game going on with its customers to try and rake in more cash!

I never quite understood reviews.... I think we are all accostomed to games getting 8's and 9's that we expect it. And then when we see a game we find that we like even more we demand it gets a 10. A 10 is a perfect score so why could anything deserve that, especially when its not even been released? Because your a fanboy doesen't mean a game deserves or should get a high score, they have to earn it. And on top of that, I am sick of every game being released today getting a 8 or a 9. 8's and 9's means a game is great, well i'll have to say as a whole gaming is starting to become dumbed down, and more about graphics, less about content. Lets just look at your example of GTA4. More flash, less susbstance, so why in gods name does this game score so high? It should be a good rated game, not a great because it takes steps backward, not forward. I think reviewers are responsible for this upwards scaling of review scores. Half of them are so afraid to give games what they truly deserve that they up the points. I can't wait for a game that is actuly just okay to get a 5, instead of a 7, because that day is the day that reviews actually work.

Thats good that you are getting it repaired. Hell I would lovvveee to use my Ps3 again but its the morals of it. Im not paying for their mistake. They are in no position to be doing this crap either. They are in last place in the console wars so they treat their customers like **** No thanks, i'll be sitting playing my PS2 and my old games until they decide to show the customers fairness. 60 GB PS3's should have read on the box, will die shortly after one year, add on another 200$ and then I wouldn't be complaining.

I find it hard to see what you mean by taking care of your system... You mean by what?? I didn't shelter it in a corner to where it would overheat or spill crap on it. I simply used it maybe a few hours every few days to play blu-rays and movies... If this isn't how the PS3 is supposed to be used then please tell me howwwww.
