Heh, funny how people's opinions differ. I pretty much don't buy games unless they are on steam these days.

I have almost the same exact comp. THe Beta Demo runs everything on high. I'm sure it will. It looks fantastic.

The beta casued me to cancel my pre-order. Not because of the normal beta issues like lag and framerates, but because the game just plain blows.

Check out the upcoming game The Witcher. WHile you don't get to make your own persona like in Oblivion, you do get to play a massive, open ended game.

My favorite moment was playing the three maps, saying "meh, I've played this before, but now the graphics look a bit better", and then happily uninstalling and saving myself $50.

There's only one answer to this question. The INDISPUTABLE best RPG of the SNES era is Chrono Trigger.

I downloaded the demo today. It took 4 hours, but every second was worth it.

The graphics are on par with Bioshock, only with better motion blur and lighting.

The controls are fps, but the feel almost like Armed Assault. Loose and realistic.

Did you like Painkiller? This is the next logical step.

You really liked it? I thought it was horrible. Been there, done that. Decent graphics, crap gameplay.

I hate them too. It may make games more "realistic" but I think it's horrible.

Will the 8.5 AA review of MP3 result in another mass sheep exodus from GS? :o

Timstuff

It has resulted in mine. My subscription ended today, and I'm not going to renew it. Not just because of this review, but because this was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Reviews have gotten worse and worse and worse as the past year has gone on. With the change to the .5 review system, and then the reviews for Bioshock and now MP3, I'm done.

Goodbye Gamespot. I'll still read your forums and check out the page, but I'm not going to pay for a product that I loathe to read. Taking my money to IGN.
