The funny part is the popular vote AKA gamers voting choose MGS4 as game of the year Gears a close 2nd if I remember but it's actually up to game reviewers to choose. Personally I think GTA4 was not a bad choice but I would have personally voted for MGS4 or Fallout 3 both those games blew me away. They were very even though because I thought MGS4's story was a bit too long and Fallout 3 didn't have a long enough story line. GTA4 pissed me off over one major thing the stupid annoying date system. When I'm busy squishing heads under my tires it breaks the mood when your cousin whines about you not spending time with him.

Meh we'll see looks a lot better than Haze and I like the look/style way more than Resistance but I'm on the fence until I see an actual review.

- Best selection of games out of this gens consoles

kozzy1234

No offense but that's very much opinion based. PS3 and 360 both have a lot of great titles to choose from.

To the OP if your friends all have 360s and if you remotely like shooters buy a 360 you will not regret it. If you aren't as keen about online play it's a toss up, imo. 360's RRoD (the overheating chip issue) problem is almost a non-issue on newer production runs. Also it's unlikely that PS3's price is going to be coming down that soon because the Japanese Yen is actually very high vs the American Dollar atm. One thing that has worried me is the fact Microsoft does tend to rush out their next gen product soon after their existing ones look at their operating systems. Also between Xbox and 360 was a far shorter time than between PS2 and PS3 but really there's no sign at the moment that Microsoft is planning anything in 2009. Ultimately I'd say if you can afford it get both but really I wouldn't say either is a bad choice. Research the exclusives and based on that buy the one that's going to suit you.

When you sneak up on the person it will give you the option to pick their pocket. Pick their pocket and when the inventory menu comes up transfer a grenade to the NPC's inventory it helps to have high stealth to do this and make sure you aren't detected. It's just like pickpocketing so if you get caught you'll never be able to attempt pickpocketing or pocket 'nading them so you may want to save before attempting this.

That guy's blog is bogus if you want to know how well VGs are selling head over to http://www.vgchartz.com/

It has actually sold 250,000 (heck it sold 110,000 in the first week released.) That actually isn't much but the Christmas season isn't even over yet.

This is an excellent game though and unfortunately it doesn't look like it's be carried widely by even some big box stores. It's not for everyone but if you even remotely like JRPGs and/or console strategy games then you need to check it out.

No one ever said said it was an Xbox exclusive including Microsoft and SE.

I quote:

Square Enix producer Yoshinori Yamagishi cleared things up during a roundtable interview session that followed the press conference. Asked if the game is 360-only, he said, "We cannot announce anything on that. We can say that it will be released first [on the Xbox 360]. Whether we'll release it on the PS3 is undecided. We may release it, we may not."

Like someone said prior don't hold your breath for a PS3 version but it's more likely that Xbox 360 only has a timed exclusive.
