@frothyrocket Do you have any idea how many times I tried playing Xbox games online only to get dropped "disconnection" messages when my Internet was working perfectly fine?
I've been an Xbox Live Gold member on and off for the last 7 years and paying for this shit just doesn't cut it anymore. Granted, I'm a full-time student now and working alongside my classes, so I almost never have time to play video games anymore. That being said, having to pay an extra $30-60 just for Xbox Live is really expensive next to paying for your monthly bills, groceries, and gas. I know that the majority of people on Xbox Live are stupid kids whose parents pay for their subscriptions so they can't relate.
Personally speaking, Xbox Live stopped being worth the price of admission years ago. I renewed my Gold account last spring for the first time in 2 years and I knew I would regret it, because I hate the way how they throw all these useless apps at you that you don't need, and worst of all most of the apps are subscription services that require an outside subscription just to use it on your Xbox! I don't care what anyone says but I'm a firm believer that paying for Xbox Live just to watch your Netflix account you are already paying for is seriously fucking bullshit!
I won't be renewing my Gold when it expires this year, and not to mention the 360's dire lack of good exclusives in the last few years has made me turn my attention elsewhere. I'll just keep gaming on PS3 and Steam, where I can get everything I got on Xbox Live for free!
@69ingChimpmunks So if I buy an Xbox game and I don't have an Gold account, I'm only able to play half the content on the disc, despite paying full price for it...
@JabbaRancor Bitch please, if you want to play your games online with friends, then what choice do you have? Xbox forces you to pay to play your games online.
