Shadow of the Colossus-Agro dying (or at least when you think he dies).

*SPOILER*

Bioshock-You are Andrew Ryan's genetically modified son, pretty crazy sh*t.

*SPOILER*

Mass Effect 2-The Collectors ARE the Protheans.....that's just insane. The whole building the human Reaper thing is not, however.

*END SPOILERS*

I never got the chance to play the original KotOR, but I loved the second one :D

Fanboys are just morons or people who are so misguided that they think overwhelming product loyalty and bashing fans of rival consoles is 'necessary'. However, I believe people are allowed to grow attached to their preferred console, and are allowed to have their own opinions about others. It's generally why I don't involve myself in fanboy arguments, even though I just want to sit down and tell them how foolish they are acting.....

You should see the lowlifes on IGN as an example; in an article about Last Guardian appearing at Tokyo Game Show, all these people who are fans of the game are going on about how much they can't wait for it, and some moron comes on says "Shadow of the Colossus and ICO are two of the worst games ever, this game will be terrible, yadda yadda, PS3 games all suck"

Solution?

Just do that, and they'll feel insignificant.....IF you want to get involved. Sometimes it's just funny to let fanboys have a crack at eachother, I'm sure it builds up their self-confidence by posting trash on an Internet forum.......

But how can you give awards to games that aren't even out yet? The verdict is still out on Halo: Reach, Gran Turismo 5, etc... you're basically basing your awards on a beta (Halo: Reach) and screenshots and trailers (GT5).

djsundowner

It is more a GOTY so far, your predictions-etc, kind of thread mate.

As new games roll around I am going to update my list, right up until the year is over.

I know, it's a bit early....but it's a speculation thread really.

I still don't see how you can give an award to a game you haven't played yet.

Speculation. Everyone expected Starcraft 2 to be brilliant didn't they? I'm expecting the same thing of games like Gran Turismo 5 and Halo: Reach-we know those games will be brilliant, which is why I've picked them as I believe they more than likely will win those awards.

Just thought of something interesting, Fumito Ueda (Team ICO director) is usually a very strange and quiet person, wonder if his vague response on Twitter could mean more-or something completely different to-The Last Guardian.

Remembering all of the things he is involved in, it could be one of three things;

1. The Last Guardian (most likely)

2. Team ICO HD Collection (second most likely)

3. Trailer/Footage from the Shadow of the Colossus Movie (perhaps)

It could even be all three.....remember that the SotC Movie was announced at the end of last year, and if I remember correctly was signed for a 2011 release......maybe it could be time for them to show a trailer alongside footage from the HD Collection and The Last Guardian (big win for them, perhaps?).

Just wanted your thoughts....the SotC Movie appearance only just dawned on me today.....

You should download EVGA Precision since you have a nvidia card then you can monitor how warm your computer gets then you can adjust the fan speed manualy and you wont have to worry about the computer overheating cause of fans not increasing in speed when they are suposed to. Or you can go on and let it do it self and eventualy let the same thing happend again and not learning anything.

^ And this is why I stopped gaming on PC

Cause its too hard to download a tool?

Why would anyone want to do that?

It's like downloading an interactive Peter Molyneux program......

On the subject, haven't encountered any issues, so sorry.

Good thing is, given Blizzard's record with updates (weren't there like 50000 for Warcraft 3?), this will hopefully be fixed at some stage; hopefully soon! If you send in reports of what is happening to Blizzard, they will see fit to fix it or provide you with an alternate solution.

No it does not.
ME 2 is by an inferior game overall to Sc2.

Ravenchrome

I'm allowed to have my own opinion, and in my opinion Mass Effect 2 is the better game overall. We've got differing opinions, and that's just the way it is; we agree to disagree, sorry.

I'll give you some tips that I've learned;

1. Take your time. If you rush soldiers out to invade other territories too quickly, you can either leave your cities exposed to attack or screw up your economy (or both). Building up funds and slowly expanding is key to greater success, and always watch your income!

2. If you are going to expand, carefully pick your targets! If you want a new territory, decide which is the easiest to take and which will have the less direct consequences on your nation, i.e. don't attack a nation that is allied with a really powerful nation that borders your lands.

3. Diplomacy is key! Setting up trade routes and maintaining peaceful relations is paramount to success in this game; even if you control half the world and have tonnes of money to spend, you can still be destroyed by the combined military might of your enemies.

4. Plan your battles so that they work in your favour (as in the terrain, military might, unit selection, etc).

5. Keep trying! It will take you a long time to properly learn the basics of managing an empire (most likely anyway), so persist and keep practicing.

Hope this helps...and sorry for my brash previous post.

I'm thinking of getting my older brother (a mad Gran Turismo fanatic) the GT5 Collector's Edition (Signature Edition is $300 Australian, no thanks-could get a console for that!) for Christmas.....then I'm to decide whether I want the same thing for myself, the Force Unleashed 2 Collector's Edition, or depending on the news with The Last Guardian and the Team ICO bundle, a pre-order for The Last Guardian.

Those are the three main things on my 'wish-list'......

Wait and see.....I'll end up with all three of them either way, and definitely can't wait to show all my friends what they are missing 8) (j/ks).
