This has the potential to be as awesome as Modern Warfare on the WII.

Imagine Borderlands with vending machines that accept real currency. Unlimited Bioshock plasmids if you have the coin. Is Quelaag in Dark Souls too tough for you? No problem. Fork over some cash and an virtual assassin will take her out for you. The possibilities are endless. F2P will lead to games driven by economy instead of player skill and a balanced gameplay experience. Sure, it's a great opportunity for Ubisoft to grow their margin. The dude in the suit never said it was good for serious gaming.

@rasputin177 So what's a good game in your opinion? I thought Just Cause 2 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution qualify. Both are much better on PC because inferior console hardware cripples them. Merceron is one of the few gaming execs that is actually making sense lately.

Carr has a point. The gameplay in Fable 2 was so annoying that I couldn't finish it or even stomach the thought of playing Fable 3. Lionhead will have to come up with some decent hype for The Journey before my interest is aroused enough to even consider all-Kinect as a deal breaker.

@NINEINCH-Tool Not sure how she'd impregnate you even if she wanted to.

Free-to-play, micro-transaction, digital only, service-based gaming.... gaming industry execs are spouting this crap to create self-fulfilling prophecy. It's obvious they are priming the market for acceptance of a business model that shifts control to publishers. They haven't been able to make money with selling stand-alone games as one-shot transactions, so this is their ill-conceived solution. It's doomed to fail. These jokers don't get any more of my hard-earned cash until they stop babbling nonsense.

@yeah_28 I see... two wrongs means more DRM headaches for non-criminal gamers. If you have cahones then protest by not even playing games you think are a ripoff. Don't pre-order, and rent/demo before you buy. Buy games that are worth it to keep the industry afloat. Piracy is part of the problem, not the solution.

@Sohereiam You know what they say about fools and money. If EA delivers what they advertise then it's not stealing.

@Deadly_Nemesis Maybe Blacklist does that. Admittedly, Conviction strayed to far to the action side for stealth purists. However, I see a lot comments dismissing Blacklist based on the trailer alone. There's a chance it takes a step back towards SC's stealth roots.

@williebazerka Because the first 3 SCs were the same game with a different story. Anything gets old if overdone. Then again AC/DC made a career out of putting different lyrics to the same cord progression.
