Well after quitting for 5 months I went blew it !! I smoked like a house on fire this weekend . To say that I am not very proud of myself would be a major understatement . So now I have to brace myself for quitting all over again . If anyone is reading this that doesnt smoke DONT its not worth it . How retarded do you have to be to pay the government to kill you ?

Well its Monday morning , the start of a new week . Just killing some time while doing some laundry before work . Gunna try to fit in some time for Rebuplic Commando before work . I was talking to Kurt about it the other day and he mentioned that he and his brother both got stuck in the same spot . So now I have extra incentive to beat the game . Ahh bragging rites , a true gamer`s spoils of war . So I guess this means GoldenEye is on hold again .

Hangovers suck !! Well at least after a two day binge ending at 8:30 Sunday morning they do . Oh well . So I have been playing Republic Commando and am pleased to say it will become one of the crown jewels in the Spacelord Game Collection . I cant understand how the same people that are responsible for Clone Wars could make such a cool game . The soundtrack is awesome as well .

On another topic I spent the afternoon with an old friend , Doctor Who . because I work most Tuesday nights I miss it most times . Today they played the first episode of the new series on CBC . I must say that I was quite surprised at how good it was . The cast is pretty good and the production values seem quite high . By fluke I have this Tuesday night off so I must try to catch him again .

So yesterday I had a humongous fight with the girlfriend and for revenge I went out and bought Republic commando and then proceeded in go to the Pub and drink like a thirsty camel for the next 14 hours . After I got home I was a little too drunk to do any serious gaming , so tonight I plan on giving Commando a run for its money .

All in all time well spent I think !!

The rumors are true !! I have found the legendary Golden Gun . it was in a secret room in the construction site in Hong Kong . Also in this room is a cow a zodiac a two pair of rubber boots and a framed sketch . I assume that the zodiac the cow and the boot are a reference to the Val Kilmer movie Top Secret , as for the sketch I have no idea . For instructions on how to find the gun PM me .

My ticket for the Rolling Stones concert on Labor Day weekend has arrived and Tuesday I got an Email from Brad in Nova Scotia telling me he just got tickets to . I cant think of a better person to see a major rock act then Lynch Mob . Its still a long time away but I am starting to get pumped !!

Progress in GoldeEye is going pretty slow . For some reason I had to start at the Hover Dam . So last night I worked my way through the DAM level , and am now ready to tackle the Octopus Base . This isnt so bad because it is one of my favorite levels , and I need the practice .

As a side mission tonight I am going to try to locate the Scaramanga`s famous Golden Gun . It is rumored to be hidden somewhere in Hong Kong . Fitting as this is The Man With the Golden Gun`s old stomping ground .

I started replaying GoldenEye last night and was I shocked at how rusty I was ! I guess I should have expected that . Even though I have been playing other first person shooters in the interim . This in fact might be the main cause since I am now no longer adept at the GoldenEye button layout . So I guess its gunna take me a bit longer than originaly thought to beat it . Since first I have to get my skills back up to par .

Several months ago a bought GoldenEye and played through it to the very last board . Then before beating it I restarted some earlier missions to collect all the Octopi . Some how I managed to screw up my saved mission from the final board and had to start all over again to beat the game . That was fine but every time I played it after that it starts me in the middle of the game ( Hover Dam ) .

So now with cheat codes in hand I am going to attempt to finish the game and earn all the Octopi on the way through . I just hope I dont have to start at the Hover Dam every time !! I will keep you posted !!

So I spent last night going back to get all the databanks in Area 51 , to unlock all the secrets . I used a guide I found here at Gamespot , which allowed me to plan quick surgical strikes instead of wondering around aimlessly . Any way after finding all 90 databanks I was kinda disappointed at the final secret . The rest of the plot and back story was so well thought out , they way they incorporated just about every urban myth and conspiracy theory you have ever heard was pretty cool . Thats why the final secret kinda fell flat . I was expecting a bigger revelation I guess !! Anyway I still loved the game and it is a member in good standing of The Spacelord Game Collection !

So it tuesdayand I am still getting over the long weekend !! Gah I am starting to wonder if I will ever be the same again . Is awesome to see Lynch Mob when he is in town but I think my liver is glad he lives in Halifax ! lol . Anyway I work to night so maybe I will be tired when I get home and be able to get some ZZZZZ`s !! later
