Demon Souls or Star Wars TFU two cheap games that are very good. Star Wars TFU 2 is coming out in October so if you haven't played 1 its good to go ahead and play it. Demon Souls is now priced at 29.99 so thats a great pick up also if you haven't played it. RDR or GTA4 is also good like other posters said.

Man don't listen to the above poster if you have a 80gb I believe you can do the eject button trick. Where you completly turn off the system including the switch on the back. Hold the eject button power up the system you will hear your fans sound real loud and your disc should pop out. Ok now for a temp fix on your system go to youtube and type in gilksy or ylod fix. You will need screwdrivers phillips, and a torx head screw driver. You will need thermal paste(radio shack, and heat gun (lowes or home depot). Just follow his directions word for word and follow the video and you will get your ps3 up and running. Now go find a cheap external harddrive newegg.com has great deals on external harddrives. Get your system working then plug in the external harddrive back up your data using the back up feature and store it on the harddrive. Because this is a temp fix but it will allow you time to gather your data off. The fixcan last anywhere from a day too monthsjust all depends. Now all files will not carry over but the majority will for example some save files are married to the system and will carry over but will not work on a different system. But some is better than nothing I hoped this will help you. But as for sending it to sony I would advise you not too simply because your going to pay them 150 when for a little more money you can get a slim ps3 thats built better than the fat models and haven't heard any news of them getting ylod. They may get them but I never heard of a slim model getting ylod so I maybe wrong but I know its built better than older fat models.

You can also try needle-nose pliers or vise grip pliers to try and extract the screw. But once you get it out take that screw to your local hardware store and ask them if they can match the screw. So that way when you have a fresh screw instead of a stripped one. Now what you got to look forward to are the 4 screws holding the harddrive in place in the shell now those are a pain to get out. The blue screw was a cake walk compared to those 4 screws. But go to like sears or somewhere and get the proper screw drivers also like i believe a 000 philips is what your going to need.

It depends on how many games you decide to play or buy really. I had to upgrade my 60gb to 320gb because I was running out of space like crazy. Some games require mandatory 5gb installs that was real popular last year but seems to have faded down some. For example there was devil may cry 4, metal gear solid 4, grand theft auto and all of those required installs. I have about 60 ps3 games,15 psn games and plan on getting many more so thats why i needed the space. I have probably 183 gbs left. So I recommend getting the 320gb plus your getting the playstation eye, Freeplaystation move game, the playstation move, and a controller thats a great deal. If you bought all those things seperate you would be spending more than what the bundle is asking you to pay. I plan on getting the 320gb slim also because my ps3 got the ylod and Im getting sick of having to take it apart and fix it everytime it decides to go out and I refuse to send my system to sony pay $150 just to have a small chance that i get the ylod again. So I'm gone buy a slim model since I haven't heard issue with them because of how it is built.

My advice is go on youtube and there is a video on how to fix your ylod. Its only a temp fix and last around 3 months. But that will allow you to back your data. Get an external harddrive plug it up to your ps3 and go to back up data. Then on your new ps3 your going to buy go to restore data and that should bring back all your things. For example I changed my hdd on my 60gb with a 320 gb hdd I backed up all my data. My psn games, save files, everything was on there only difference was that I had more space. The trophies are stored via internet through your psn name and you don't have to worry about that. When you get your new system when you set up everything go to pre-existing account and log in with your old information and then sync your trophies to your system and you should be good to go.

I'm gone say this I was thinking the same thing I'm taking care of my ps3 im keeping it properply vented and dusted. Do not play for long hours and only plays it on the weekends because Im out of town during the Week. Well I have a 60gb model and bam out of the blue ylod and then I started doing my research. All 60gb models have a design flaw and you will eventually get the ylod im sorry but its going to happen. So to believe it can't happen to you is a bit foolish no matter how much you care for it there is a design flaw internally. There is a lot of outraged people who think sony should fix the systems for free or replace since we all spent around 600s to purchase the 60gb and I fully agree. It does not have anything to do with neglect or wear and tear on your system pure design flaw. Even people in Alaska got ylod so my best advice is backup your data once a month and if your system just shuts off randomly and goes to stand by get your disc out of the system asap. The system may come back on and if it does take your game out and turn off your system.

There is a fix that you can do that is posted on youtube that requires few tools and a heatgun. However it does not fix yourPs3 foreverthe fix usually last about3 months until it ylod again. My friend had to fix his twice already so he got sick of the trouble is going to buy a slim model. It will save you money by not having to send it to sony, lose all your data, and get a refurbished ps3.

I don't know much about the 40gb but I would buy a slim model and get an extended warranty if I was you. I'm gone fix my ps3 60gb but still buy a slim because I dont want the risk of having my files gone or having my game stuck inside the system.

I didn't like the demo either. At first I was pretty hyped for the game but that all died once I played the demo. The graphics are passable but it seems like there is not enough detail. Also the camera should be a little bit closer on the main character because she looks to small on the screen and it doesn't show enough detail. I also had problems with the camera which was a pain and the fighting system was blah and not interesting. There was some cool moves don't get me wrong and cool situational moves but the action seemed flat and like they were trying too hard. This is my conclusion this game reminds me of devil may cry2 where the graphics were ok the actionwas ok but itwasn't great and fell flat. The other devil may cry games I loved Ieven like nero in part 4 but this game just falls short of comparing to a game like that. But this is all my opinion so for those who enjoy the game thats good I just don't like it.

Thanks topic creator for posting because some people may have trouble beating the survival modes. Now for those who say they think its cheating and they want to get better at the game well go fight against a human player. If you are serious about becoming good in a game and real serious the only way is human competition and if your real serious go to tournaments. You will never become real good by playing alone or playing survival mode. So for those who are whining and saying you feel like you accomplished something by beat survival mode. Then you play against a great player and get yourself handed to you then you need to realize survival mode and other crap modes like that don't matter. The online mode is pretty good because I really dont see much lag if any at all so thats an ok way of training. But even there its so many scrubs online you can play for days and not find any good players. So my point is dont take things like survival modes serious and make comments like its going to make you better. Its going to only make you sound like a scrub and looked down upon by players who seriously want to become good.

Man you guys so lucky I went to bestbuy today and they didn't have it for 9.99 :(. Well I guess I'll have to get it for the 29.99 price and do you guys think its worth the 29.99 and is it a relatively long game or pretty short?
