Well this is messed up, 15 times more pre-orders than the wii? Well the wii was a record UK release. And if that means that the XBOX 360 had 3 times more orders on play.com, (It says PS3 has 6 x mroe than 360, as opposed to 15x of wii) yet had a few problems selling (Massive hardware shortages) at UK launch, then these numbers can hardly be truested.

Except the wii, which outsold them all in America in January. So to be honest, it's DS & Wii that are the hot sellers.

Video card makes a BIG difference for all but low settings!

That is really crappy. The game is barly playable in 1280x1024 in medium with a 7900GS!

That will take into account shadows. Turn the shadows off and your FPS jumps a lovely amount.

All my hardware is over 2 years old, I run this fine one medium settings, of course there is some slowdown when a couple of hundred units are fighting one another, but I think something needs to be explained. NO MATTER HOW WELL THE GAME COULD BE OPTIMIZED THE SHEER PARTICLE AND POLY COUNTS WOULD PUSH FPS DOWN. it's just that kind of game, and when it's in the heat of battle, you rarely tell that the FPS is dropping. Underscored by a mile, the best RTS game since TA.

Steep hardware requirements? I have a 4 year old CPU, a 2 year old graphics card, and 2gb of RAM (3.6ghz P4, 7800GT) and I run it at medium-high settings with no problem. The sound's lovely as well. Underscored.

I haven't played it properly in about 3 weeks either, it was really fun at the start but now I just get no drive to play any of the games for it :(

Europa Unaversalis I, II, III Hearts of Iron I, II They're not everyone's type of game though, more complex than you're average RTS and not 3d.
