I think this video is something that most major news outlets should take a look at. With everyone outside of the gaming community looking only at the issue of violence in gaming they overlook, either by choice chasing after a meatier story or just not investigating, the humanity and help that gaming can provide. Games like Depression Quest are amazing as they can provide people a familiar avenue to examine themselves & see if maybe there is a problem they have & need to face. I for one can say that it has that affect. Gaming is not just about violence simulators or fun. Those are part of it. But gaming can also connect friends via the online gaming scene or bring 2 strangers together that can help one another. A great piece Mr. O'Dwyer that hopefully can shine some light on the possibilities of this medium.
