I loved the boss races, but the silver coin challenge went too far for me. Some of those coins were well outside the normal path,Yagr_Zero
And if you could beat TT's times you are a God among men.

What people are forgetting is that Halo brought a sense of community to the console FPS. Sure the single player was fun back when Halo came out back in 01, but people go back to it for the multiplayer. And this is what made it so special. The balance the pistol brought as a starting weapon is still unmatched by today's standards. Throw the single player out the window; that's not even up for discussion. Lanning with 16 players in the basement, or even playing others on Xbox Connect brings back fond memories. Despite one's feelings on MLG, Halo launched a community similar to what PCs have had for years with CS.
There is no other console FPS that I can think of with such a dedicated community for both casual fans and those interested in competitive play. And for that, Halo has definitely brought something to the table.
With the second installment, Bungie launched the best matchmaking system known to consoles. I'm still amazed at how no console game can surpass halo 2's matchmaking system 6 years after its launch. We all have different tastes, and halo may not be for everyone. But to disregard its contributions to the console FPS is straight ludicrous.
Does Nintendo really think more mini game compilations are what people want? Nobody is craving another Wii Sports. We've already seen what is possible with the Wiimote. Now it's time to stop showcasing the possibilities and actually deliver a full-fledged game.
Where is my Mario Tennis? Where is my Goldeneye?
What is so upsetting is Nintendo created the tools needed for something fresh, but they haven't delivered. When everyone went out and purchased a Wii, they were willing to sacrifice technical goodies for a unique experience not found anywhere else.
Now with the balance board and this new wiimote adapter (which promises more precise control), we can actually bring the arcade into our home.
Anyone remember an police shooting game found in an arcade a while back that allows you to take cover and dodge bullets with motion sensoring? A quick google search gave me the title of "Police 24/7" aka "Police 911". I think this is the game I'm thinking of...
Here's a link to what the machine looks like: http://www.klov.com/images/11/118124215212.jpg
Can't this be done on the Wii? This was made in the year 2000 and I believe was ported to the ps2 (not sure whether the motion was included). So, what gives?
Nice setups everyone! It looks like the new fad in this thread is to post pics of our Sammy DLPs with that wonderful future proof high resolution we are all so blessed with. So here's my 61" HLS series. One couldn't ask for more. The sound system may look small but it sure does pack a punch. If anyone is shopping for a new HDTV, I'd highly reccomend this one. Sorry for the crummy res of my camera, and without any further delay here is what puts a smile on my face:
EDIT: man, my pics look like they're made of playdoe:?
With bigger hard drives.........Halo 1 is over 4 gigs. -FailSafe-
That's what I'm thinking. If this trend continued then we would only have room for 2 or 3 games, and that is only if we deleted our downloadable demos.
