Im looking forward to it, if it actually gets released in North America (high probability it will). Right now only a Japanese release has been confirmed.

I'm a huge Star Wars Fan (I've read most of the books, know all of the backstory, played all of the Video Games etc.) and the old Trilogy was definitely better then the new trilogy. Numbers 4 and 5 were definitely the best. I've heard good things about Tron Legacy and I'll probably go see it any day now.

In the case of genre related awards I definetly agree that Skyward Sword will get a lot of them. In the case of Game of the Year Awards (Where only one game is selected out of every possible game that year) I think that Skyward Sword is definetly a frontrunner but you only need to look at a list of games of 2011 to see how next year is gonna be a big year in gaming:

Little Big Planet 2

Mass Effect 3

Killzone 3

Dead Space 2

Homefront

Dragon Age 2

Crysis 2

Shogun 2: Total War

Fear 3

Portal 2

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Definitely has the hype to sweep the awards but with the release of Elder Scrolls 5 in 2011 (#4 is possibly the greatest game in existence) I think it could face some stiff competition if Elder Scrolls and some of the other reported games are actually released before the deadline.

An average game costs between $6 and $20 million to produce for the wii (For good games such as Mario, etc. $20 to $30 for the xbox/PS3 and as high as $60 million for games with amazing graphics (Halo 3, GTA4 cost $100 Million). These companies sell the games to stores for between $20 to $30 dollars a game. The stores to make a profit then have to sell them at a least $50. You have to factor in marketing etc. I know that lots of people may think games are expensive but as a person who has worked on games in the past it can be mighty time consuming and the cost for the game engine, outsourcing, etc. can be very high.

Nintendo prices today are actually some of the cheapest for console gaming. Back in the day, Nintendo games were the most expensive retailing around $70 and the other companies games were a lot cheaper. Though I will admit I was wrong (My bad) about the increasing prices they've actually stayed about the same. Personally, I think that putting in 5 years of a game companies time to work on one game earns the current price we have to pay for them but that is just my opinion. I definetly see where you guys are coming from and how pricey some games can be.
