@Ghosthunter54 @deathstream @gww101 I can't ever imagine what your problem is. Can't strap it to your head? Sure you can - you've heard of duct tape, haven't you? ;)
Ruh-roh Raggy, I don't think this is a good decision. Headsets were designed for a reason. I can imagine all kinds of havoc with this with more than one person in the room.
I appreciate they're trying to keep the costs down, what with Kinect 2 being a pack-in, but no mic? It could really hurt the quality of playing online on XB1.
@MetalDogGear As some others have noted, even in FPS games on consoles can be very positive because they ensure that everyone has access to the same hardware - making for a level playing field for everyone. No losing because some kid has a better mouse than you, or 12 more FPS, or some hax key-bindings and configs etc. Also, playing an FPS on e.g. Xbox Live, generally means that EVERYONE has a headset, so communication is very easy. On PC it's very hit and miss.
I like both my PC and console games. They're just different. I do really enjoy the simplicity and ease that consoles tend to bring.
@MetalDogGear Consoles still have advantages in some ways. As dedicated gaming machines, they still make it easier for developers and gamers alike - less concerns about programming for different hardware, better support from the console-makers themselves, less complications etc. It makes for a bigger gaming market; even in this day and age, not everyone has the technical knowledge to troubleshoot videocard drivers.
I still get PC games that seem to bug out and need multiple patches and hacks to make them work "flawlessly out of the box". I've never had that problem with consoles - they're built from the ground up for plug n play; PCs are not.
They're different. They have a different set of advantages and disadvantages.
@SEEDman_X Me too. I think it's a bit sad of Naughty Dog - but they're not the first ones to do this. As games become more photorealistic, we need to model real faces in order to avoid barbie-doll/glamazon/uncanny valley territory.
In all honesty, that's pretty good considering, if you think about the MASSIVE complexity in games these days. The main problem is all the DLC etc, but most games are pretty good value for money.
