You're worng, final fantasy is like a religion in japan, it sold 2.3 million units in four days, the u.s probably 500,000. And star ocean 4 will not get any sales in japan whch is bad becasue for a game to be successsfull it needs to do good in all areas.

FF10 sold about 3 million in japan and 2 million in the us and 2 million in the rest of the world. Meaning it sold more outside japan.

^ you realize that the latest star oceans (that came to the us) and ffs sold better in the U.S.? Hell, the majority of games sell better in the U.S. than japan, it's just a bigger market.

Look at the sales of Tales, FF, etc.- look at the region selling

And you know all those ps2 rpgs? The japanese didn't "eat them up". Most sold very poorly. That includes Disagea.

The only JRPG series that really sells best in Japan is Dragonquest.

well it's rendered with new settings, and is heavily scripted, etc. Not exactly what i meant. It's more of a trailer. Clear difference, Funny nontheless.

But going back to it, do you actually think either is better than girl, guy, and villain? I thought that was pure genious. Ever halo 3 machinima for the record is user created with the exception of red vs. blue, which is a company that makes them who has relations to bungie. Not official though.

i prefer halo 1 (or halo2..i cant exactly remember) on the machinima front because of red VS blue. its kinda lost its way now imho but in the early days it was bloody hilarious imho.

though not machinima really....i also loved Concerned, a comic based on HL2. its finished now but its well worth a read inho. fills alot of gaps in the story too (well not really :P)

i agree on the red v. blue decline. It has been getting better as of lately though.

However, with halo 3, due to how easy you can do it, there's so many user created ones.

You realize the difference right? It's not the fact thatb machinimas typically have stories or anything, but rather the fact that they're in game and not just a cgi movie. You realize that everything in the halo 3 one is in game right? granted, they do overlay some of it (with the fox thing, the logos of guy, etc., but it's still in game.

Halo 3 is better than every other game in machinima. Countless times I have seen machinimas for this game that are just hilarious. So many too. post your favorite machinima (it doesn't have to be of halo, but chances it is)
