[QUOTE="chikenfriedrice"]it's silly to me also to hype something that the 360 had @ launchchikenfriedrice

sillier that we'll get it for free, while you'll continue to pay for it

XBL is well worth 50 a year...even with the update PSN still does not compare

... due to the fact that the 360 has games that actually capitalize on xbox live. Ever play Halo 3 or Forza?
Hell, in general, XBL has more games and more online options.

I can't believe people don't see that the games ultimtely make the system, the online, everything.

except for the fact that you don't :?

Why do you think you pay for everything? the only thing you don't getwith silver is playing online.

How humorous this is. "Don't hype updates but this XNA will be cool!!"

People aren't hyping the update itself, son. They are hyped about the features it brings. The same features that 360 owners have been hyping since 360 launch. Shoot, some are from Xbox.

The_Crucible

Well XNA is game sharing. By updates, I mean features (format support, messaging, etc.)

In other words: HYPE GAMES! NOT UPDATES (xna is games)

^ but is the guide/ xmb even something to compare?

I've always viewed the guide as a standard thing. Not something that I get fromthe online service. Just a console tool.

And in reality, the fall update for the 360 will probably smoke 2.40. The fall update, we already know (which we typically don't know until about 2 weeks till it comes out) will have the XNA sharing and then, supposely, avatars. We'll probably get more stuff in this later (it's suoppose to be huge, and a huge psn update is typically a small 360 update)

^ no, not yet.

But everyone pointed out that game. Jellycar was imo really good also as well as little gamers.

But since then, i've already said this, about a week after they put it up, Dishwasher got promoted to a XBLA game.

Seriously now, why exactly are people hyping updates?
Do they add something? Yes, they do. But 2.40 is basically just giving xmb and achievements, and the latter we don't really know how it'll work out. (it's something about gold, silver, and platinum, which leads me to believe there's only going to be a few per game)

Seriously- don't hype updates. The only thing I see hype worthy upcoming is avatars... I joke. In reality, it's XNA public games (which is due out public this fall update). Can't wait to actually play jellycar racing (so fun!). Only thing is that Dishwasher has became a full game. Whatever, if one did it, I'm sure others will get that good, or at least somewhat close.

Actualy PC set-up, with sitting close to a screen and with headphones is a lot more suited for scary atmosphere than TV and big couch.

And we do get survival horrors, they're just rarely action-adventure ones. Penumbra: Black Pleague for example is survival horror adventure game and scored 8.0 at GS, which is propably higher than either SH5 or new FatalFrame will

You've got to be kidding me. Horror games on amoniter are a piece of crap. Seriously, if you're a pic gamer and like horror games and want to actually be scared invest in consoles... or at least hook it up to your tv.

Playing in the middle of the night with the lights off on my huge ass with surround sound has no better experience for horror games.

In fact, I don't think anyone would argue that. Hell, pc gamers should agree that it's better to just hook your pc to your tv for gaming and get a controller (for games that support it). The only thing is that you typically will have to a $80ish accessory to do so (unless you have a newer high end tv that has a pc input)

First off what?

Second I have a surround sound system on my computer and playing it in the dark with your face inches from the screen is a lot more immersive then sitting on a couch laying down.

And no PC gamers shouldn't agree with you because it's all a matter of preference.

lol, on my huge ass tv. lol.

But seriously- it's like watching a movie on the pc vs. a tv. Seriously dude? Have you ever played a true horror game alone in tthe dark at night on a tv? I doubt it.

ever play doom 3. with 5.1 headphones, high res, 3:00 at night..no you havent, its much more immersive on pc, just because you have a bigger tv dosent mean you more immersed in the game, sitting in a chair makes you feel like your straped in and there no turning back once you start the game..

and your second statement is just the same as on pc...

not only that but 3ps(third person shooters) play and control much better on pc, gears, Mass effect, RE4 all controled much better than on a controller..

doom is far from scary. I don't think you exactly understand what it means to get freaked out. Pc games such as doom, fear, etc. all rely on the "peek-a-boo" mechanic. Silent Hill will freak you out constantly. It's more so about the atmosphere than hide and seek.

Doom is like a grade B horror movie. Cheap scares really.

And how exactly do TPS control better on pc? I can aim fine with a controller, and it's much easier to move with analog and buttons for actions than the keyboard. And lol at RE4, you realize that you can't use a mouse at al with that, right? You're talking out of your ass.

* and pc gamers, Codemned, Clive Barkers games (such as undying), and most others aren't scary. I have yet to play a truly scary pc horror game. Play Silent Hill if you want a scare. (yea, i know some of them are on pc, but it's better on consoles imo)

Well considering the fact that I've been playing Halo 3 since september and im still playing it strongly daily, I'm gonna say halo.

I'm actually pretty much done with MGS. It has a very good single player yes, but once you're done with it, you're left with a mediocre online system. Konami has no clue how to do online at all.
