Bombies island got when i was 8 and (ps1 game) its a puzzle game that was never entertaining

Well here's a few reasons

1) you can take advantage of not having to unplug and replug everything each time you switch from console to tv.

2) Take advantage of blu ray (trust me its worth it)

3) it uses a lot less power and it's better for the enviorment

4) Games look amazing in hd

So in the end if you're not poor then you should get an hd tv

The RROD is possible but microsoft has made it less likley over the years. If you want to connect to live you will need to pay for a monthly subscription need a hard drive (not sure about therhard drive part)and a network adapter for wifi/or a ethernet cord...
