Once upon a time going to the theater was an experience that could not be mimicked or replicated in any fashion outside of general cinemas, AMC or any other chain. Long gone are the days of it being an intimate affair. Does anyone remember when a "sneak preview" was a big deal or anticipating which trailers would be shown prior to the film?
The last time I played 4 was when the GCN version had two discs and I don't believe I made it far. Getting out of the city will be a nice change this time around.
While we are entitled to our own opinion, I have found enjoyment from many games poorly reviewed. The environment is what really gave me enjoyment in the previous Arkham games and I hope the same here is true.
Obviously the best part of the film was the Michael vs Laurie fight. There isn't any coming back from the outcome but I guess never say never? Some finales have been sub par but this one was completely the opposite.
Quite honestly though, all of the mains (Laurie, Allyson, Corey, etc..,) seemed to be squandered away in the story for some sort of good measure. There was nothing overly compelling about their presence besides a few glimpses of hope. Corey was a wasted character, IMO, when he could have been so much more in this film and perhaps another entry in the franchise. Hawkins was also wasted. Will Patton is a good actor and it would have been a pleasure seeing him as more than an afterthought.
Besides the finale and some of the flashbacks, it was forgettable.
