PC gaming has been growing faster than console gaming for a long time now. Capcom specifically has been seeing major growth on PC long before Sony ports were even considered a possibility.
Attributing Capcoms continued growth on PC to Sony ports is nonsensical, a major reach. All we're seeing here is a continuing trend.

As for Playstation exclusives not selling that is factually just not true.
I never said this either. 😑
The games that actively keep the overwhelming majority of the Playstation user base engaged are not Sonys first party titles. The idea that droves of console gamers are jumping ship to PC over the occasional first party port is just silly. Extending that even further to account for Capcoms continuing PC growth is nonsense.
So exactly what I said would happen is happening. Once Playstation released exclusives on PC some of their consumers would simply just move to PC and once that happens they will buy all their games on Steam.
This is what happens when you make your brand irrelevant.
What?
The market has been trending towards PC for well over a decade now. Existing console gamers moving to PC, new gamers starting with PC.
There are plenty of obvious reasons for this.
Sony bringing their first party games over isn't the cause, they're just another pub following the trend.
Hilarious to assume Sony first party titles are that important 😂. Capcom bangers putting up numbers on PC because a few Sony ports lmao. Let's just ignore how Capcom games were doing great on PC before Sony started porting their games.
Sony games aren't even the most popular on their own platform, the majority of console owners don't give a shit about exclusives.
Probably Samus or Bayo. Not too interested in video game stories, but I enjoy their characterization, I like that they're "gamey" and most importantly I like the games they lead.
And its shallow. The combat has no real tactical depth.
😅
He aint wrong. Problem with his argument, it applies to the rest of the series as well. The turn based/atb games only rarely required you activate a brain cell during some of their late game optional bosses.
Can't be out here pretending FF fans were actually playing these games for tactical depth, least not in the mainline games. Final Fantasy Tactics, sure, but none of the numbered titles.
