Blizzard is like the hot girl next door everyone liked and you grew up with. Eventually, as she got more and more popular, she became a little more promiscuous and filthy to the point where she's now a grade A S__T.

Valve is the ex girlfriend who you're still on good terms with. You two used to have a wild time but things have really mellowed lately although she can still provide a little service on the side if the night calls for it.

Square-Enix is the once proud high school prom queen now turned retail store cashier clerk who no one really cares about anymore.

Bethesda... She's the girl who looks all pretty on the outside but once you rip her clothes off and go for the ride, you find out it's really not as great as advertised.

Crytek said she'd never sell her soul like the other girls and go topless for money but when the green came calling, the bra was off.

Obsidian is the homely looking chick who tries to hang out with her hotter friends but always seems out of place.

Bioware is the Cameron Diaz of the gaming world: aging horrifically.

And finally... Ubisoft is the Kim Kardashian of gaming: the idiot girl who keeps pissing off every single boyfriend/husban of hers more and more to the point where no one really wants to hang out with her anymore even though she still has her looks.

This game was so boss. I can't believe it didn't get a higher rating when it was reviewed. Maximum ownage. I owned those noob little computers nonstop for three days before finishing all the campaigns. Asian Dynasties wasn't as entertaining but good subtle changes to tweak things.

Only dumb thing I can't figure out is the limit on towers. I should be able to build as many damn towers as I want. If I want to pimp out my base and make a wall of towers, I should be able to do so. That's how I roll in the south.

What I am is indifferent, not upset. I don't need to be tied to one corporation or another to know AMD is pathetic (with the exception of their GPU line).

Yet your either ignore or dont know the fact that Intel prevented AMD from coming with a brand new architecture on the cpu front for years because they bought all patents related to cpu new and standardized tech. So from 2006-2011 AMD had to reuse what they had and could use/create not allowed to advance at the same rate. Even with Bulldozers being a failure in most people's eyes AMD was thinking too far ahead in its design with its multithreaded module design which does not work to its full potential in a limited multithreaded world.

I didn't ignore anything. When it comes to patents between the two, there's so much cross-licensing going on that they've effectively called a truce in that department so one doesn't step over the toes of the other. Who's responsible for X86 in its birth form? Intel. Who's responsible for X86-64? AMD. Both technologies, coupled with countless others brew to make the CPU's that come out today so arguing about patents is a moot point in this case. What Intel did do though, is strong arm AMD by using major suppliers like Dell and through economies of scale, gave them incentives to pick their products over AMD's during the Athlon era. That's where they had to settle for over 1 billion dollars. Aside from that though, all quiet on the western front.

AMD is second tier compared to Intel when it comes to CPU technology. This isn't even an opinion. It's fact now. Trying to counter this using other means of debate is pointless in my eyes. Fact: Intel has better IPC for nearly every CPU out there. Fact: Intel has a superior fab process right now. Fact: Intel blows AMD out of the sky with better thermals per square mm of die. Opinion: AMD sucks.

I find it highly comical that these idiots used Intel CPU's in an earlier GPU benchmark demonstration. What does that say? When the company uses a direct competitor's parts to promote its own GPU's? Unrivaled idiocy. Like I said, their CEO is retarded beyond belief, actually coming out and saying they're throwing in the towel when it comes to high end. That's not something you do. Do it behind closed doors at the board meeting but don't publicly come out and state it, hurting the company's stock even more by souring investors.

A lot of AMD's problems can be attributed to their inept management. Hector "Ruins" Ruiz, who was an even bigger colossal moron than the present guy; Dirk Meyer, who was probably too much engineering and not enough business and so they canned him because they didn't know what the hell they were doing, and now Rory Read, a clueless puppet for the brain dead board to act on their behalf.

I echo the sentiment that it's sad a few modders can do a better job than the game's actual devs. This problem is prevalent in most Bethesda titles. It's like they take blocks of wood and carve people out of them before giving them code to move around.

Terrible.

[QUOTE="SolidPandaG"]Are you enjoying your dated animations on your second tier AMD rig?slabber44
Are you enjoying being an "Idiot" because he mentioned there's mods to help out with the animation issues?

Before you call me an idiot, maybe you should be aware that my response is to something he posted earlier elsewhere. But apparently not, since you're too intent on appearing so smart before knowing all the facts, idiot.

[QUOTE="SolidPandaG"]AMD is done in the high end desktop segment. They're probably done in any high end CPU segment period. They're literally two gens behind Intel at this point and with Big Blue's superior fab process, don't see them ever catching up. It's why their idiot CEO came out with this suicidal pitch: http://pcper.com/news/Editorial/AMD-will-not-chase-Intel-making-needlessly-powerful-CPUs Saying stupid crap like this is just a more subtle way of saying "yes, we've royally failed in the high end and are now relegated to making lower tier products". AMD is now nothing but a budget brand in the CPU market. Their GPU market which they ironically hesitated in purchasing at first is the only saving them right now.ionusX

lulz this coming from a guy complaining about the rigidness of skyrim when theres a community worth of solutions for that :P

u sir need some help

this being said amd's gpu's werent always this way hd 5000 series is a prime example they were sucking on the inferior nipple of off-seasons for a while now and are only now hauling themself out of the mud of inferiority they also have a fairly good ram buisness atm thx to their partial ownership of patriot. (bet u didnt know that AMD ram is patriot ram with a diff sticker eh??). amd is also murdering intel in the tablet and mobile market and has shamed nvidia's offerings in those markets as well

imho amd is shifting and while they have abandoned competing with intel in the high end desktop segment in the professional and lwoer tier markets getting them is your only option cause intle is dumb, doesnt unlock their cpu's and has a low end full of nothing but pointless dual-cores which r so lawlerskates :P

I feel like I lost brain cells trying to understand that. AMD is a second tier company now and only their GPU division is considered legit. Why do you think Intel is focusing on strong power consumption with Haswell, Rockwell and Skylake? They're shifting their focus and converging everything into a powerful but very energy efficient line. This can't be more evident with the fact that everything is now SoC and their GPU is integrated onto the CPU die. It's convergence on a broad but gradual scale and it's only a matter of time before they dry up AMD's other business ventures too. Look at what they did to nVidia, locking them out of the chipset market so they were forced to find other means of revenue. AMD has always been a second tier company save from a brief stretch in the early to mid 2000's where their Athlon line was more dominant than Intel before Big Blue woke up and decided to actually engineer for a change.

For me it's easy: 1. People who drive slow in the left lane. 2. People who hate on the Cincinnati Bengals. 3. Socks with holes in them. 4. Eli Manning's dumb grin. 5. Guys who've started wearing those skinny jeans that end at the shins. WTF? 6. When clueless teens take up the designated seats on the subway the second they enter before old people. 7. Diablo 3's dumbed down mechanics and insistence to use the RMAH. 8. People who pet Pandas too aggressively. 9. This idiot: http://www.torontosun.com/2012/05/16/booth-taking-heat-for-bear-baiting-excursion 10. People who call an entire computer a CPU.
