Ms. Topic Creator - I really hope you're under the age of 14 because I don't see why anyone with a proper train of thought would seek relationship advice on a gaming forum. Actually, this problem isn't worthy of seeking advice PERIOD. You can't break someone's game and expect them to say "OMGZORZZZ, I've Neglected You". If he's truly placing more value on games than you, talk to him CALMLY like a normal person or maybe the relationship isn't worth it to begin with. Also, buying him ANOTHER game is just giving him control. If you're going to break his stuff, stay firm and wait for him to come to you. Jeez :P

Was it just me or did anyone else find Condemned to be scarier, more immersive, and overall better than Bioshock?

REVENGEotSITH
I haven't played it but it'd have to be infinitley high on each count to top BioShock. I found BioShock creepier than Silent Hill, not in terms of sheer "Freak" but because the atmopshere IS so immersive. I should try Condemned, although I also like my games to have in depth stories and I heard Condemned is rather short :P

I already have Eternal Sonata paid for. 7 Is a good score for a non FF JRPG. From the small bit I know, I've already fallen in love with the story and gameplay. Blue Dragon is not bad so far but Eternal Sonata is what I'm waiting for :P

There is no "Best Game" of all time. It's the beauty of opinion. However, BioShock is by FAR my favorite I've ever played. I've never been so immersed in a game before. I've also never been so tense and creeped out CONSTANTLY and I'm a survival horror junkie. As an aside, for everyone who complains about the lack of death: Save/Load and pay no attention to it. It worked for me. Besides, the true tension in the game is produced not in the combat, but in the moments before it begins. IMO, the game is in no way meant to be played like a typical shooter. I never once ran the entire game, defeats the purpose of creating mood. This is a game that begs to be played sans walkthrough, and demands the player to actually have paitence :P

I knew the moment I fired up the demo, it'd be amazing :P. It's like you take Resident Evil 4, make it first person and improve on EVERY possible area. The only thing that gets me is how hard it is to understand 2/3 of the Audio Diaries because of the random accents and even MORE random slang. Nonetheless, amazing game :P

The average age of a gamer is like mid to high thirties, I believe. Other gamers will take you seriously and non-gamers will as well unless you base your ENTIRE life around it, like I've sadly done lately =(. Just make sure to keep focus on School/Job & GF/Friends etc. etc. and you'll be fine :P

I have to sleep with a night light now, and my mommy has to stay with me until I go to sleep, and sometimes, I fear that a big daddy is in my closet....In all seriousness, no. I'm a grown ass man, and I can't get scared over video games or movies anymore. I wish I could, because being scared is fun when there is no real danger.kdt55
What does being "Grown" have to do with it? I'm 21 and have been a huge Horror fan all my life and this game STILL creeps me out. My PARENTS still get scared watching movies. If you love being scared, you'll be scared. This game is the GOOD kind of fear. Not the "OMFG, A ZOMBIE!!" jump kind, but the psychological kind that constantly keeps you in a state of totally being creeped out. Besides that, Fear is processed subconsciously. We have zero control over it. You just have to "Let Go" to feel the rush and enjoy it :P

LMAO @ The guy who said only "Casual" gamers will love BioShock. I'll be sure to let my 13 year old sister play (Who only plays The Sims and Nintendogs) and see how far, even on Easy, she'll get without dying or giving up on the story. In my honest opinion, Halo is FAR more "Casual". I can't count the number of non-gamers Halo brought in around here years back.

Eternal Sonata & Guitar Hero III. Possibly Mass Effect & Assassin's Creed. I'm sure I'm forgetting something :P
