Well yesterday I completed 5 years here on Gamespot. I honestly didn't think I would last that long here. In looking back at other websites I've been a member at, the longest I've remained at one was on Myspace in which I had from Sept 06 to July 09. I think now behind this one, the website I've been a member at longest is Photobucket whichI've had since October of 2006 to this date.

Anyways...

I had planned on announcing my Game of The Year Yesterday but recently I got Donkey Kong Country Returns. And since I got it last year(Dec 30th) and it came out last year, it still has a chance to win it. Had I gotten it 2 days later you all would know my Game of the Year. But I will say this Call Of Duty Black Ops and Pokemon Soulsilver are out of the running and it will now go down to Super Mario Galaxy 2, Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, and Donkey Kong Country Returns.

I gotta say though Donkey Kong Country Returns is one of the funnest games I've played in a while. The level design is the best I've ever seen in any game. The Gameplay stays true to the original and the graphics are beyond impressive for a Wii game. I mean I can honestly tell you that after playing my Ps3 then playing this I barely see the difference in Resolution. The game is quite humorous too. Its not one of those games that'll just appeal to a young audience but any gamer who's looking for a great challenge(especially when playing multiplayer) this is thee game to get!

I joined this site in 2006. One of the main things that attracted me to this site was the fact that we can write reviews and rate games. I've been rating games since I first came here, however, that doesn't mean that the quality of each has remained the same. I was 11 years old when i joined the site and I am now 16. Through the years I've gotten better in writing essays. My teacher has called me an expert but to me I'm never satisfied. I feel like I have a long way to go before I'm finally a Pro. I'm at least happy withmy progress cause to be honest my first reviews are horrendous and laughable. Its as if I had gotten my skills from 6 year old.

Its that time of the year again! The time where everyone around the web picks their GOTY! Admittingly I didn't play much games this year. Ok I haven't blogged in a while butI guess it has something to do with my writers block thats even effected my performance in school. Anyways I finished Kingdom Hearts Birth by sleep about 2 weeks and I wanted to write a review right away but couldn't. With that said, this is the LONGEST review I have ever written. As many of you know Nintendo just recently announced a few things on the 3DS. I can tell you that with everything that seems likely, I'm Disappointed. Japan will have to buy it for the US equivalent of $300. Now I know that doesn't mean that will be the price for here, its just that I was hoping the price would be $200 but its not like Nintendo is going to just drop the price by that much here. I'm expecting it to be $250. They also said it would release in March instead of this year. I was hoping to get it for Christmas since myoriginal DS is broken and has been since May. I have 20 DS games and no way in playing any of them. On Top of that I was hoping on picking up Rhythm Heaven, which I've been dying to have for a LONG time. I also wanted to pick up Super Scribblenauts cause I thought the first one was amazing. Lastly on the 3DS, I don't like the games that are currently slated to release along with the system. Most of them are not my cup of tea and I was hoping Kid Icarus would release the day of the system but it won't. I'm still hoping everything works out in the end but as of right now, I'm not too happy.

You know I honestly have not felt like this in a long time. I should've felt like this last year too but I didn't(I'll get into more detail later in the blog). This feeling is that I want so many games but have so little money! Like I said a few blog posts ago, I'm 16, Living in New York. Its not easy to find a job at this age here!

From Now till the end of the Year I want 9 games. Which Seems like a little bit but actually is A LOT! Now I have decided which games I want to get much later then their release date and which ones I want to get on their release date. It still is too much money for me though seeing as how a lot of them come out together.

Now I do expect to get Kingdom Hearts possibly tomorrow(I know a place that sells games early!) even though I am short $20 and need to ask my dad to help me go school shopping, instead of buy me games. I don't think it'll be too much of a problem however I'll get that game easily.

Next Game I'll Probably get is in November which I have decided is Call Of Duty. I ultimately decided upon it because I know a lot of people who play it and lately I have prefered Multi-Player Games more then single player.

After that my next game will most likely be for Christmas. My Incredible Godmother gets me a game every year, such as last year she gave me Batman Arkham Asylum! This year I plan on asking her for Donkey Kong Country Returns! If this year also goes like every other year I'll also get money from others. With that money I plan on getting Kirby's Epic Yarn.

That Leaves 5 games to get another time unfortunetly. I mean the games like Spiderman and Sonic(wii) I'll probably make my decision based on reviews so by the end of the year the list might just be smaller. And you know if I had a job I'd probably drop a game or 2 cause I REALLY feel as if I owe my Godmother a hefty present for all the Games she's given me. I mean these games include Batman:Arkham Asylum, Resistance 2, Medal Of Honor Heroes 2, Need For Speed Carbon, Super Smash Bros Melee, Sonic Mega Collection and some more games and even toys!

Now here's where I look bad, REALLY BAD...

Last Year in September I was Anticipating 3 Games, Mario&Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, Scribblenauts, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Now I was completely broke at the start of the month. Then School Started. I was offered a job at the schools "grocery shop". I took it and thats when I made my move. I stole money, ALOT of it! I wont say the amount but it was enough to get me all 3 games, a birthday present for my sister, and later on Modern Warfare 2. Now would I do it again? Honestly theres a good chance I would. Do I regret it? YES, BIG TIME! I'm not that type of person I'm a good kid but the oppurtunity was there so I took it even if it was wrong. Luckily for me, the store has been closed, so I can't take anymore money thankfully! Anyways that was just something i wanted to get off my chest.

Organization XIII

For Some Reason Gamepot didn't include The Organization in the All Time Greatest Villians bracket. There is another group in the bracket, Team Rocket. So why not them? Organization XIII is very popular to those who have had the chance of playing through the Kingdom Hearts Games. Anyone who knows the Organization knows that for a group of heartless Nobodies, they are a pretty colorful cast of characters. Each member is pretty much different from the other and I think that they all mix well with each other.

Now admittingly when I first saw some of the members in Chain Of Memories, I didn't like them too much. I felt as if those that were in the game were sort of similar to each other. Then Came Kingdom Hearts 2. In it you discover that they're all different from each other. With Voice actors and better movement thanks to the graphics each character comes to life.

I wonder why Gamespot didn't put them in it. I mean theres characters who are barely evil in the bracket. In fact two of them are going head to head, Captain Blue and Captain Qwark. Donkey King is even there! He was in the All Time Greatest Heroes Bracket!

I'm Ranting...I know that....

But For all those who have never played Kingdom Hearts, PLAY IT! Get into the Series! I Guarentee you'll love them(or your money back). I've played a lot of video games in myday, maybe not as much as a lot of you or as much as I'd like but I can tell you that Organization XIII is truly one of the bestgroup ofVillians you will ever see in a Game. I can honestly also tell you that I have never heard of anyone hating them.

I can also tell you that I'm not saying this out of being a Kingdom Hearts Fanboy. I mean I love the Series but I'm not one of those to try to complete 100% or the story multiple times. I play it for the Story,characters, and action. Hell I have never even beaten Kingdom Hearts 1!

So I want to know your opinion on this! I mean I know its just a contest but still it would have been nice to see them in it. And for those who don't know anything on the Organization....PLAY KINGDOM HEARTS(2)! You'll love them =)

Is there a long running Video Game Series that you would like to get into? A Series that has been arond since the likes of the original Nintendo?

I face the dilemma of wanting to get into the Metroid Series but theres too many games! I mean I can get the Metroid Prime Trilogy for $50, then for the GBA theres Metroid Zero Mission and Metroid Fusion. I can probably get both games off ebay combined for about $25. Then off the Wii Virtual Console theres Super Metroid and the original Metroid. Thats Another $20! So far thats $95, but we're not done yet.

I used to have Metroid Prime Hunters but sold it. Now I wouldn't get it again but I don't remember the story in it. Plus I didn't fully beat the last boss. On Top of that my DS is broken that'll make the cost of everything sky rocket! For now though I should just add the total for the Series and Hunters would make it go up by about $20. I'm pretty sure off ebay or some small video game stores I can find it for that price.

That leaves 2 more games in the main series(not including spinoffs). Theres the newly released Metroid: Other M, which by the way, to me, looks Amazingly fun! But thats another $50!!! That is way too much for me right now! Lastly theres the Game Boy only Metroid 2:Return of Samus. Now I can play it on my original GBA but that would be very annoying knowing that theres no backlight. The game is going for about less then $10 on ebat so that might be the cheapest of them all.

The Grand Total for everything is about $175. Thats 10 different games. Now I know that if I get the Metroid Prime Games Seperately it would cost less but I don't feel like playing the games with the Gamecube control otherwise I wouldn't be able to pull myself to finishing them. Some may think that $175 isn't much but I don't work! I'm 16 and finding a job in New York at this Age is difficult! On top of that theres obviously a lot of other stuff I would like to get. Such as the Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep next week.

Anyways I'm heading off topic but I know for all those games I definitly don't need to get them all together. Of Course I can finish one and buy the next one and so on. But it would be nice to have the whole series to play in the order you want. But anyways what do you think? Also whats a Game Series you would like to get into but has been around for a while?

Wow! I can't believe I forgot to make a post on my Game Of The Year for 2009. This should've been done 8 months ago! My choice is pretty much one sided. Theres One that I wanted to give it too but this other game swept me away! Before I say those two games though I'd like to review my past games of the year since I'vebeen a member here.

2006-Kingdom Hearts 2

This is now one of my favorite games ever. 4 Years later this Game holds up pretty well in terms of Gameplay and even Graphics. When I beat it I felt a feeling that I had never gotten from beating a game. I felt as if I didn't want to play video games anymore, I had beaten a truly magnificent game.

2007-Super Mario Galaxy

This Game, to me, actually topped my 2006 GOTY winner. It was definitly because this game put fun in front of everything else. When it did that it also managed to provide Great Graphics that the Wii has Barely seen. Look to its sequel possibly being the GOTY all over the web...and maybe even onmy blog! ;)

2008-Super Smash Bros. Brawl

I love this game. I love the competitiveness that the game has and how deep it is. I love looking at all the stats and I did enjoy the single player. I'm ready for a sequel though...a pocket-sized sequel! Lol

BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM!!!!

HOLY S*** who saw this coming? Lol. I didn't but I'm glad it surprised us all. The Game was NEARLY PERFECT, or at leastI think so. Under the old GS review system this would be a 9.8. I don't know what else to say about this game I mean i loved everything about it, the voice acting,the combat,the riddles, the environment, the gadgets, the characters, EVERYTHING! I can't wait for the sequel! Fall 2011 Can't Come Sooner Enough!

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

I bought a lot of DS games in 2009. Sadly its now Broken :( Before it broke though I spent my time playing this game. The game Oozes with Personality. I have all the details of it in my REVIEW which I hope you read and leave feedback on.

Ok So Last night on Facebook I spent about 5 hours arguing with 4 Xbox 360 Fanboys on why the PS3 is better then the Xbox. A "friend" of mine put up a post asking which one is better between the two. He also said for us Ps3 gamers to find a game on the Ps3 that has more online players then Halo 3. Now I understand that Halo has alot of online users but the Xbox 360 isn't just about Halo. I swear these people I was arguing with are beyond ignorant. They didn't know which games were exclusive or not. They brought up games such as DJ Hero,Skate, and Battlefield. All of which can be found on the Ps3 as well.

I want to refer to the 4 as Guy A,B,C, and D

Guy A made the post but was the least educated of the bunch. He brought up Some of those Multi-Platform games and when the Wii was mentioned he said it only sells because people in America are fat. He also made a list of "exclusives" for each system BUT he missed ALL of the good PS3.ALL OF THEM! The list didn't even include Uncharted 2 or even God of War 3. He went by that list the whole night! Theres way more on him but frankly all he did during the argument is make stupid points.

Guy B wasn't as bad as the rest but regardless he was annoying. He only cared about how Halo has the most people online. He knew what games were multi-platform and exclusives but none of them mattered to him because to him Halo was the Best Game Ever.

Guy C was a complete ass to say the least. Guy A met him through Xbox Live and brought him in to help out in the argument. Guy C was cursing all over the place. He brought up how MLG uses Xbox instead of Ps3, which automatically made it better. He asked if a game was an exclusive or not. And when everything was all said and done with, he comes back to only curse some more and say God Of War 3 isn't an exclusive. All he spoke about though was how Halo is the best Game ever and once again brought up how it has the most people online.

Guy D....Where do I start with this guy? He claims to have known everything just because he "built" his own gaming PC. He listed a list of Pros and Cons for both systems yet left out a whole bunch of stuff for the PS3. He thought he was funny cause I mispelled something then he attacked me for mispelling it. I responded by saying people make mistakes but he said my mistake was buying the Ps3. HaHa! Not! I guess he was the most annoying because he thought everything he said was valid. He was arguing about Halo but most of the time it was about Modern Warfare 2, another game found on the Ps3.

My argument was that the best exclusives are found on the PS3. I also said that most Xbox games can be found on the PC but they brought up how the PC and 360 are family. What does that mean then? That I can bring up the PSP which adds even more exclusives. Seriously is like the whole night they were contradicting themselves. Plus they only talked about Halo the whole night! I brought up God of War, Uncharted, Rachet & Clank, Resistance, Killzone, Mag and a bunch of other exclusives.They're comback to me mentioning all those games was that just having Halo is better then all those games. They mentioned Gears Of War once in a while. But I would ask them if they knew any other exclusive that wasn't a shooter. I personally thought of many but they couldn't give me any other games. To End the whole thing I whipped out a list of QUALITY Ps3 Exclusives. It easily out matched they're stupid list of exclusives.

For the Xbox 360 I also brought up how it has the RROD, Pay to Play online, and according to ALOT others, a numerous amount of kids playing online compared to the Ps3. Now I know the RROD is fixed with the new Xbox Slim but are you really going to buy another Xbox? I mean they brought up how the Ps3 was so expensive when it came out but to go buy another Xbox, isn't that going to be more or even close to what an original Ps3 costed? Plus when the Ps3 game Out its like you had 3 systems, a PS3,PS2, and a Blu-Ray system in one. Also with the Pay to Play, wouldn't you rather spend the $50 of a years subscription to Xbox Live for a Game that you've been dying to have? I mean sure the online is better then the PS3 but the PS3 online is still VERY good and playable. They all acted as if the PS3 online is just unplayable which it really isn't. Lastly, the Kids. Now We all know that there are little kids on all systems. But I have honestly heard most of the complaints about the kids coming from the Xbox users. I mean I have obviously encountered annoying children on my PS3 but my friends say that I shouldn't sweat it that theres a lot more of those kids on Xbox 360. The 4 fanboys though only cared about how those kids can most likely smoke me in.....HALO!

Nintendo was brought up numorous times throughout the night. Guy A and D were hating on Nintendo and Mario. I told them that without Nintendo they probably wouldn't be playing they're beloved Xbox 360. Also since they like going by the Professionals of MLG I brought up how PROFESSIONAL reviwers all over the internet chose Super Mario Galaxy over Halo 3 in GOTY in 2007. But they said Mario can Go Suck on a you know what. -____-

Now Tell Me with Everything I just told you, Where do you stand on all this? And even if you like one system more then the other, who do you think made the more valid points? Like For this question just forget about the system you love and defend and think about everything we said and tell me whos right!
