i have only tried Counter Strike Source and it works perfectly but i guess ill just stick with my ps3 for newer games although it would be cool to play some mods for it

Counter Strike Source has a pretty good amount of people with mics

Put this into the console:

/cg_drawfps 1

Then hit enter. FPS and other info will appear top right.
To make it go away again type:

/cg_drawfps 0

But what about modern warfare 2.Is it going to be very different(Aboutsystem requirements) ?

I can run Cod 4 in medium settings.

but yeah i think since the game will be newer the graphics card might hold you back
