@vel0001 @FandomTheory Well if someone has already acquired the game through pirating then they are definitely less likely to buy the game even if they hate it and played through the whole thing SO those cases of people buying after torrenting aren't nearly enough to justify piracy.
I'm pretty sure both PS4/720 are going to try and block used games in their own ways because in the end many people complaining will still buy these systems anyway, just maybe not as quickly.
Hopefully though if they do block it can lead to things like reduced cost, lower/no price for DLC/season passes and maybe a kind of digital copy rental for people who don't want to pay full price for a potentially bad game.
While the steps for the other consoles were more open for debate, most of these steps do need to happen for the Wii U to do better.
I do love nintendo but theres no denying the wii turned off a lot of hardcore gamers if the Wii U is just a higher graphics, more expensive version of the Wii with no improvements then Nintendo will lose even more hardcore AND casual gamers.
But in the end first party titles will at least keep it from suffering too badly IF it does do bad
