I didn't stereotype the genre. I said this song was the most ignorant rap song I've ever heard.
The only thing I stereotyped was 21st Century hip-hop, which in my estimation, is materialistic crap that is killing the genre.
Isn't that a bit contradicting that you said you didn't stereotype the genre then said "I only stereotyped 21st Century hip-hop". But yeah, whether or not it's just a certain time period, it is still considered part of the genre.Semantics are a tool of the pretentious. :roll:

Excuse me if I came off as rude, didn't mean to. And I didn't seem to be semantic, in fact the only thing I had to define was that word, I just mentioned that the two sentences seemed to be a bit contradicting, I'm not arguing the meaning of specific words. And no, I do not get upset when classic rock is defined as 60's/80's rock. I mean, decades are fine, but you said a time period of a century, rather than just saying "recent" hip-hop, which I still disagree with, there are many great artists recently, Benefit, Immortal Technique, but I guess that is all opinion. I really shouldn't take hyperboles so literal. Apologies for making a bit of an attack, did not mean to.
