oh another thing, Nintendo had the first 3D game right?, Super mario 64, along with the first analog stick, right? all in one package, now Nintendo has another new inovation with their controller, you think they're gonna not also revolutionize the graphics again? They know if they dont do it, no one will, and if you where nintendo wouldn't you demonstrate the new controlls and graphics inovation just like you did last time with your mascot Mario, ala SUPER MARIO GALAXY, last time we saw SMG was six months ago, and it looked amazing, you think they're not gonna try getting the game visuals even better? something to consider here. Nintendo isnt stupid, they've been in this industry for over 20 years, ok, to them sony and microsoft are little babies, Nintendo created PS1,without which sony would be dead in the industry, its true, you can read all about it, i dont have time to go in to it now. they're the ones who innovate all the time, and if you think about it now is the perfect time to do what i talked about Ninty is doing. Console prices are gonna get even crazier from now on(they allready are) and when something gets ridiculous Ninty makes something different and changes the way things are done, and guess what, we are at a point where things started getting ridiculous, nintendo is not the type of company to sell systems for 400 dollars or 600 dollars, thats why they had to make a different way of controlling games and the visualls again, but as i mentioned before they had to figure out how to get amazing visualls without charging high prices like their competitors. Enter the patents they filed, they clearly describe a way to produce amazing visuals with a new technique.
Guys...I have shocking news for you:Â the Wii does not contain hardware which is as advanced as the 360 or PS3.Â
Now that it's out in the open, maybe we can stop hoping and praying that the Wii will deliver graphics on par with those two systems and start appreciating the Wii for what it is.CubeJL
I didnt say it did, i think everyone knows it doesnt, but i think nintendos' patents reveal that they found a way to have amazing graphics with moderate hardware, according to the patents it looks like its a software thing. correct me if im wrong.
All these people who are saying the Wii GPU is weak and old tech doesnt make it fact, and how do they know that by the way since Nintendo never released the specs, nintendo didn't spend 5 years just trying to overclock the cube, and because some games look really bad doesnt mean the machine cant produce way better looking stuff, these developers are having a hard time getting the controls right(understandibly so) because its a whole different controller, and they've been used to the old controllers for so long, they cant have perfect controls on new tech right away, thats just insane. Thats why most of the devs dont focus too much on the graphics, because most of their time is used up by trying to get the controls right. Yes, the Wii doesnt have the same proccessing power as the 360(i still dont believe sony just yet, they've lied to us so many times before about the power of their consoles) But that doesnt mean it wont come close, or even match the 360, "insane" you say? follow me here for a minute; Nintendo clearly stated numerous times that the strategy for Wii is to have games that appeal to everyone, be reasonably priced, and also satisfy the core people, right?, well how are they going to appeal to the core gamers when most core gamers want graphics that at least come close to 360?, did you ever wonder what happened to all those patents Nintendo filed for producing high quality graphics without having expensive hardware, well thats where they fit in here, so thats what they spent 5 years on plus all the years they worked on project reality, think about it, it doesnt take 5 years to produce a console like wii, and if the Wii is so weak, then why would nintendo name the graphics card "Hollywood"? think this is crazy?, thats what you probably would've said about the controller if I told you about it before it was unveiled. price for games now is 60 bucks and the consoles arent getting any cheaper either, so in their effort to bring down costs and to keep console and game costs down nintendo figured they had to do something without having a console priced at the same price as 360 or ps3 but without having less impressive visuals either, just something to think about.
Hey, what happened to all those wii patents nintendo filed last year for graphics processing and all that stuff?
Do you think SMG, Disaster day of crisis, MP3, etc... use this stuff?
Its sad how many of you are so lazy.
I personaly would enjoy more physical interaction with games.
Its not like you're gonna perform Olympics level actions.
The most you'd have to do is move your arms to control camera and objects.
