After playing the game a little more I completed the Fatemasters questline if that's what it is in the first major zone, and I realized the story really isn't that bad, they execute the idea of having a big enemy that you see often and annoys you and makes you want to get to that big fight between you and the boss even quicker, they've done this twice in the 10-20 or so hours I've put into the game, both on the same quest line, and maybe it's just me, but I like the "chase" feel of a story where, as I said before, you see your enemy, but they keep escaping, and they're the most insufferable people in the world, so I enjoyed that faction questline, and now im king of fate I guess, I don't know, I skipped most of the dialogue because it isn't that great and I'm an impatient bastard.
Kingdoms of Amalur is really suprising me, although outside the faction quests it is starting to get a little dull, but I'm unlocking new abilties which refresh the whole dull feel, combat is awesome, I wish that craftable items weren't so hard to upgrade, item system is kinda annoying.
