Im looking at the E6750. And that is a 775 socket. Would a pentium D be a 775 socket too ya think?

yes it would fit since the XPS's cases are large form factors. and it should be able to power a 8800GT as there PSU are pretty effiecent i think they have a 375W on the XPS 400...yoyo462001

Doesn't 375w seem kind of low? I see so many people recommend 500+watts. Another question too. It's a 3.2 ghz Pentium D dual-core, 2gb RAM, if I put a 8800 gt would the cpu bottleneck it? Btw, it is PCI-e

Right now in the Dell XPS 400 there is a 7600 gt gpu installed and I was wondering if anyone knew if a 8800 gt would fit inside?

Yes its okay. If you need any extra SATA/IDE cables, you can always get them dirt cheap. Instead of getting a retail HDD which costs significantly more for whatever reasons unnessasary.SSJBen

Is it okay to get an OEM hard drive? I have no extra cables or anything, all from scratch.

[QUOTE="SparkPlug69"]Yes that is HD. IMO UT3 doesn't look very good. Download the Crysis demo and see if you feel that is HD enoughfor you. If that doesn't...go into a cave and wait for time to succumb to your standards.ATLReppa770

Yeah, Crysis will look amazing, but too bad it doesn't play amazingly...unlike UT3 which plays amazingly.

Not denying that. But this guy wants to see some l33t graphics.
