to some, i can see how the idea of avatar's is silly or pointless and they do not care about rewards and such, but to others, it's about creating an identity. It might seem useless now to dress up your avatar, since, unless the person is added as your friend, you rarely see the avatar. But as more and more games come out that use avatar's as characters or are featured in game, the rewards and clothes become more and more relevant and interesting. Games like Guitar Hero 5 ( i think), Joy Ride, and the 1 vs 100 game feature avatars as characters, so dressing up is pretty cool. BUt i'm not keen on paying a lot for the items, so i hope that the rewards are cool.

yeah, some achievements aren't really achievements. hopefully rewards are for actual things that are tough. But, of course, i want to get these rewards, so they can't be impossible. Game companies, by making the rewards like t-shirts of the game easier to unlock, get their name out there because people will wear the item.
t-shirts of the game would be cool, but these items should also be relative to the game. For example; NHL 10 - win the Stanley Cup and your reward is a Stanley Cup ring you your avatar. Stuff along those lines for sports games. For shooters like COD, how about a medal or pin to put on your avatar when you beat it on veteran?
These are the sorts of things that i think should be rewards, not just t-shirts.
When is MS actually going to make these rewards available? i'm tired of just seeing the option on the dashboard pop-up menu.
right, well i mostly just want to vent and share how much bs microsoft doles out to its customers. I bought the 360 the day it came out, so naturally i ended up with the rrod. microsoft gave me no problems and did the switch free of charge. unfortunately, the kept screwing me because the refurbished console they sent got the rrod again...sent back no problem...and then the newest refurbished one got the rrod. sent it back, and got another. so to recap in case you are lost. 3 rrod. yep. well it has been a while since the last rrod, but once again, for the fourth friggin time, i got the rrod. i'm not surprised by it anymore, just pissed. so i called up MS to go through the process to get a new one. enter MS screw-job. i tell the woman i've had the rrod 3 times prior, but apparently, their information on my acct only shows a request to repair once. i know i sent that thing in 3 times, so they erase records to look better. then she tells me that the warranty expired this past april because i "bought my console in april 2006" BULL! i bought it the day it came out. so obviously, the warranty was renewed the first time it got rrod. why it never renewed the other two times i dunno, prob because they erased the files. Now they want me to pay for the "repair" which is just another refurbished console that will break within a year, and i'll be screwed again. the cost is like 120$ (canadian) and probably add shipping to that. Total BS. they won't do anything else. So now im screwed because i have like 15 games for 360 that i cant play, not to mention xbox live gold subscription. I'm jsut so pissed that microsoft will do nothing for their loyal customers. thanks for listening, if you have any ideas, or want to by a rrod 360, comment.
well they are sort of doing it with the new Avatar clothing rewards. you get clothing or items for your avatar by achieving in-game feats (most likely achievements). the item will probably be relevant to the game. but they are stepping in the same sort of direction, considering the new avatar marketplace makes you pay for the avatar clothes.
i just watched Lucky Number Slevin, and in it there's a part where Bruce WIllis looks exactly like Revolver Ocelot. If they make a Metal Gear Solid movie, i think he would be perfect. agree? disagree?
