legendary in H3 really isn't that hard in Halo 1 and 2 it was unfairly difficult but in Halo 3 it's challenging but you get used to it. A word of advise- beating Cortana on legendary is nearly impossible unless you keep a flamethrower with you at all times. Another tip is to keep the Cowbell skull on throughout the campaign, provided you're skilled with grenades.
the HD-DVD player isn't completely useless there are a ton of great movies out on HD-DVD and the player works as an upconverter so standard dvds look great. A blu-ray equipped 360 would be cool as long a M$ dousn't have to pay royalties to sony.
I know it isn't real but I advocate Megacity 1 from the Matrix Trilogy. Its pretty much like Sydney but way bigger, and they could ad features like bullet-time and the ability to run up walls and fly and dress in shades and black lether and- never mind.
Just a tip- if your TV has an RGB port then you can get 1080p using the VGA cable. Or if your tv has a different resolution (mine is 768p) the VGA cable gives you all the possible resolution settings instead of just 480p, 720p, 1080i. Many tvs that are labeled as 720p are actually 1366 x 768, and the VGA cable makes a huge difference. Displaying in 720p over component on a 768p tv makes the games look jaggy and washed-out.
Pfft- Treyarch had said that CoD 3 would have destructible environments, but it didn't really- they just filled the environments with distructible crates and barrels. Hopefully Infinity Ward will implement the feature for real in Call of Duty 6.
Yes its worth it, though if you're mostly just going to be using it for gaming its probably best to settle for 720p to save money. Some games actually play better on HDTVs, since the HUD is usually less cramped and the higher pixel density actually increases the draw distance (you have to be farther away before an object's pixels completely dissapear).
