Sega Master System, the original one. Spent so many hours playing Ghostbusters, which was far superior to the NES version. I think SMS was a better console than NES anyway.

Get rid of Virtua Fighter and put up Tekken 5. Virtua Fighter is such a shallow fighting game. ICO, Silent Hill 2, Okami, and Katamari should be higher on the list. And San Andreas should be replaced with Vice City and moved down the list. No GTA game deserves to be #1, especially with titles like Shadow of the Collosus, ICO, and Silent Hill 2. Other than that it's a pretty decent list.

  1. Gamecube
  2. Super Nintendo Entertainment System
  3. Nintendo 64
  4. Gameboy Advance
  5. Gameboy
  6. Nintendo Entertainment System
  7. DS
  8. Wii

Never had a Gameboy Color or Virtua Boy. I loved all my Nintendo systems, but this is the order I had to put them in.

Lol @ people thinking Alienware was ever a good PC brand.

heretrix

Everyone knows that the cases make them the best gaming PCs on the market

In all seriousness though, I had to program and optimize a game on an Alienware once and it was a nightmare making so many concessions that compromised the overall game.

500W? Maybe if he was gonna add a better GPU later on but if he's gonna keep it as is, I wouldn't spend a $100 to insure for something that isn't worth it. It's not like he could OC his cpu anyways, at least not with a pre-built motherboard.WWII_Warrior

You have to remember that a PSU power rating is maximum sustained. You have to figure that a PSU is only going to be reliable up to 70-80% of that rating i a good qaulity PSU. In a POS that comes in a pre-built computer you should only expect about 50%-60% at the most. In other words if he decides to try and play any modern game on that PC with that PSU you can expect it to perform poorly at best and blow up at worst.

Jumped the gun. http://www.gamezine.co.uk/news/games/g/gran-turismo-5/gran-turismo-5-s-damage-modelling-unfinished-$1320295.htm

So much for "we can release any time we want to." If they don't have true location-specific, subsystem-specific damage, then they're not finished.

seriously. so i guess i jumped the gun a little, but theyre definitely making false claims about being done anytime they want. not having it on all the cars is pretty absured too.

Well they could release more damage models in updates later on. But I'm a huge fan of GT too and I don't care about damage. All I care about is driving the cars.

Basing my opinion on GPU alone I would go with number 5. Three caveats I could see, however:

  1. Gateway does not have the best customer service
  2. Gateway does not have the best build quality
  3. The power supply is too weak for the hardware included

If you buy this computer I would spend an extra $100 or so to buy a good quality 500-watt power supply to replace that 300 watt POS.

You can Probably Guess Im a NFS Fan:):?:P

metalmaggot46

NFS was a great series back in the day before EA started to exploit it. The PC versions were all superior to their console counterparts too, especially Porsche Unleashed.

Gamecube controller was terrible.

  • One "Z" button Why is this bad?
  • The cord was too short I'll give you this one.
  • The shoulder buttons were too deep (had to really push them in) More range of motion, they're not any more deeper than 360.
  • The D-pad was small and out of place. D-pad was only mostly used for things such as inventory selection.

The only good thing about the controller would be the four fat face buttons. The wavebird was ok too.

Blue-Sky

The Gamecube had the best ergonomically designed controller ever in my opinion. The only controller that gave me the same impression when I first held it in my hand was the 360 controller.

The N64 was a great concept for a multi-purpose layout, but unfortunately it was poorly built. Everyone remembers how the analog stick was sticky, imprecise, and broken easily. It was also way too small. My knuckles would be touching each other and my hands would cramp up after about a half-hour of playing. Not good when you're playing Perfect Dark multiplayer all night long.

[QUOTE="MonsieurX"]Ever heard of warranty?dkrustyklown

Everything has a warranty, LOL.

MS only extended their warranty when they started to fear a lawsuit.

Besides, quality>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>warranty

My NES is still going strong after 19 years.

Yeah, they don't build consoles like they used to. The rampant hardware failures across all consoles this generation genuinely shocked me because it's something I never had to worry about before.
