Rule #1 never listen to others when it comes to games make your own opinions... DoC was awesome anyone who loved FFVII will love the game... But, if you read what other ppl write about it you'll just lose out on a good game. Thats why I never read reviews... Like PSU all the reviews on Gamefaq say its crap i love PSU as much as I loved PSO... Do yoursef a favor rent DoC you can beat it in 2 maybe 3 days then make your own opinon on wiether or not it was worth the 7 bucks to rent...
Its a different writer morans... Thats why the names have changed hes trying to step away from his fathers style... get use to these names if it works out and 12 is loved the next 10 final fantasies will be writen this by this guy not his beloved father...
If we're divided then once again I choose independent... I have been playing FF since its begining and I played the legends loved it all... But, to say FFVII and VIII are overated is a completely insane statement. It reintrodused the world to FF if it wasn't for FFVII this union wouldn't be half as populatied and Square-Enix would have never existed... Squaresoft would be going under having only there poorly made anime titles and Maybe all of the "new" FF fans would be praising Xenogears instead of FFVII. Now I can't say I agree with the "reformed" ppl becouse of the fact that FFIX was a great game and I loved the fact that they went back to an older stye of play. But, to say that everything FF has done in the past 10 years is crap except IX that makes no sense... The way I see it is FF is FF the most popular RPG titles of all time. Now I think both sides need to kiss and make up... Think about it we could all be gay ass trekies or star wars geeks fighting over which is cooler, well atleast that what you sound like... Now lets all get along "reformed" sde go back put in a Zeppelin album or a public enemy casette Play FFV and find out wha your missing... And you old school freaks turn on the radio turn to either your local "HOT" station or listen to some girlie emo rock and play FFXII tomorrow and see how the new guys get down... As for me I'm gonna go make money in the real world...
Heres the problem FF is like a movie he'll die in the first act... But, anyway if you think about its not gonna happen most Japanese ppl are raciest anyway look at FFXI there was no skin color changing it was white or asian... Then theres only been what 2 playable black character in final fantasy history and one was so sterotypical it was ridiculous... all he said was mutha fu....a' this bi@*& that yeah and they didn't even make his daughter black... so yeah the chances are slim to none... Maybe 1 day you'll get a black rival or maybe another side character like Kiros...
For me Its a tie Between the escape from Shinra Building on the Motorcycle... and when Barret Is sent to Jail for Dyne's rampage and you hear his whole story... Then Dyne and Barret fight and Dyne Jumps off the cliff after the fight... yeah... Oh and When you get to know the Turks better after Yuffie steals your materia and you have to save her from Don Cornio...

Oh The ending is friggin hot.... Won't ruin anything you guys gotta see it... Oh and when you get to the cloud part cheack out his Limit Breaks there friggin cool as hell...
