Im trying to choose a psu for a comp im building and i am trying to decide how much is enough. The gpu will be a 8800 gts which recommends at least 400 W and 26A on the +12V rail. my confusing is on the 26A. what kind of psu has that many amps on one rail? can anyone help clear this up for me?

expect it to be really hard at first. I have done a ton of running but nothing is quite so hard as starting out. my analogy for it is that starting running is like knocking over a brick wall by running into it over and over, but after you knock it down, its never quite as hard to get through it

I have a pentium D 3.2GHz, not quite a core2, but i experiece way too much lag for my liking. Usually i experiance the most lag right after a load. It does get batter as the system warms up. last night i did experience some unbelievable lag when some npc's and I were being attacked by maybe 6 dogs. it was disgusting. I assume the if the game recommends a dual core, than it actually uses both (unlike many games), so i doubt that the trouble is my processing power. i also have 1GB RAM (soon to be 2) and a geforce 7600 gt. I have a hard time believing that this problem is all in the hardware.
