Halo 2 is finished, Thank God!

FINALLY! That was the biggest chore in gaming for me. Halo 2 is one of the most dull games I have played in a long time. The main thing that kills me is the utterly stupid repeativness of each level, its like the developers only made one section and then flipped and flopped it for the rest of the game, the latter half of the game is basically the library level from Halo 2 over and over but sometimes with trees etc. Halo 2 is fun to shoot stuff, but as a game to finish, it bored me to tears, and then if that wasnt enough didn't even finish the story of the this game properly, it puts everything into a semi cliffhanger, because nothing has actually happened yet, and we have to wait till Halo 3. I am sure that will be a good game, and I will buy it when the time comes, I just hope its better than Halo 2. I think I prefered Halo 1 for sure, too much Arbiter playing in this one.

Well now thats over its onto other games now, as San Andreas is such a big game, I am playing that all the time along with my other game that I am upto, if I focused soley on GTA I would get bored of it, so I will do a mission a bit as a time. End of November I should be getting my 360 if everything goes to plan and a new HDTV, so woohoo for that.

Finally Completed Call of Duty 2, what a game!

Today I finally finished off over a month of odd-jobbing through Call of Duty 2. I really enjoyed the Hill 400 Missions, those made the game for me. The final mission was lack luster, very simple and boring, the game should have ended with the Hill 400 Missions. The only way they made the final mission challenging was to make the enemies unreasonably harder to kill, they where taking more shots to die and the weapons on offer weren't useful, example no sniper rifle.

All in all I think Call of Duty 2 was one of the best games of 2005/2006 and I am glad to finally have finished it in time for Call of Duty 3 this year.

My next mission is Halo 2, I bought the metal tin version for £44.99 from gameplay.com the night before my birthday (November 9th) it was released November 11th in UK so I recieved it that day and still havent finished it, the whole Elite missions bore the crap out of me. The story line is too preachy and its going to be a chore to finish it. Then next is Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. I bought this game on release day, that makes all 3 of the main GTA's I have purchased on their first release dates, and I only got as far as the first few Jezzy Missions in San Ferriro. I have been digging away at the missions for Los Santos, the first 10 or so the game gives you and I am about 30-40 mins away from getting kicked out of Los Santos and to the Mountain levels with Catalina, which means I have to face that god damn race through the mountains in the sports car that loves to barrell rolls if you clip so much as a blade of grass, I think when I finally get back to the mission I was upto, I will be extremely happy to carry on. I wont be going for 100% at all, I just want to complete the story line.

By the time that these two are finished (Halo 2 and San Andreas), I can't decide whats next, what I might do is finish Majoras Mask, then Wind Waker and then Super Mario Sunshine. I still want to finish 'From Russia with Love' so I will watch the DVD and play through that some time after the other games are done. I also need to finish Lego Star Wars 2, which won't take too long anyway. Then I will finally have finished my current todo list and create a new next-gen todo list.

So Untill I complete Halo 2, peace out.

Chaos Theory is over... Now Call of Duty 2.

Tonight, after over 1 and half years I have completed Splinter Cell 3. I feel alot better now! Having played through on hard for the first time, with a 360 controller on the pc, I loved it. Below is my overall score:

I know I did quite poorly on some levels, but during Seoul I got pissed off and started killing everyone, I just kept with that fashion throughout the bathhouse and mostly throughout the final level. I would say the Bathhouse would have been a better ending to this game, the final level was no where near as hard as the Bathhouse. Anyway, now thats finished I move onto Call of Duty 2 (on PC for now) and Halo 2 on xbox, which I still havent finished! I think after Halo 2 is done with I will get to GTA San Andreas.

Home stretch now visible for Chaos Theory.

Finally, FINALLY after bloody ages, I have nearly finished Splinter Cell 3 Chaos Theory.

I made it all the way to the end of the Seoul level, meaning through the entire game without killing anyone or using any of my gadgets, just me, my fists, and my OCP on Hard mode no less (i havent unlocked Expert yet). But right at the end, where the tank is, I had to kill 2 of them, all that level I was using my gadgets and **** because its so friggin hard not to, those fecking UAVs. So near the end I lost my rag with trying to KO those two idiots near the tank with gas masks on and helmets, so I just threw a frag and blew them to hell.

I now begin the Bathhouse level. It was right here where I was last time before I lost my save files in the bomb room right at the end. I am so glad I pushed myself to play this game, because I am getting back into my games now and I plan to make a new list with more games.

My Feelings about Sony and the PS3.

I have seen nothing apart from Metal Gear Solid 4 (which isnt a launch title) for PS3 to even intice me to get one. Sony just cancelled the Launch in Europe this year, and still want me to pay £450 in the UK on release. For everyones information, £450 is $847.53!!! So we are expected to pay $850 for a console that costs $600 elsewhere, wait 6 months after everyone else AND theres still going to be no major titles. This is why I am not going to be buying into Sony untill maybe next year or 2008.

Sony's utter arrogance with the EU consumers has pushed me away from them. Xbox 360 has some good titles already, and has the games I want coming for it, including the new GTA as an Exclusive.

My Gaming To Do List

After a number of months having a single sheet of plain A4 with a number of games scralled across it, pinned to the wall by my TV, I have decided to actual attempt to finish the games on the list in order.

Anyway I am going through Splinter Cell Chaos Theory at the moment, 1 level per evening. I have completed, since sunday (which I did 2 levels that night, the boat and the bank) 4 levels. I am going to start the displace level tonight. I hope to be finished by the weekend, so next week I can start to finish Call of Duty 2, I am already done with the russian campaign and quite far into the british campaign, I am looking forward to actually getting through to the American section with the woodland levels.

Once Splinter Cell 3 and Call of Duty 2 are done with, I will FINALLY finish Halo 2. I know I know, I bought the game for £45 on release day, which was my birthday, November 9th, the metal tin edition and I played single player for a few hours, jumped on xbox live mainly and hardly touched it since. Every few months I will go through and play a bit, but I have never attempted to complete it. But I hope to get that done too.

Then once all them FPS's are done with, I finally want to finish Wind Waker, what I might do is play through Ocarina of Time in a few nights, then Majoras Mask, then continue onto Wind Waker.

All this is ultimatly so this Christmas I have completed all Splinter Cells in time for Splinter Cell 4 and ready for the next batch of big games.

Damn gaming can be tough some times.
