It was fair in that Microsoft really dropped the ball in explaining the benefits of their policies, and instead stonewalled and broke down after the heavy backlash. If they were straight the whole time with consistent and clear answers, and really tried to push their view of the benefits that consumers would have out of this, then the backlash wouldn't have been as great.
I've been waiting for them to make this change for many years. A welcome change, indeed. Long past will be those "600" point annoyances that required me to purchase 800 points worth to get what I desired.
The entire conference was a bore. I won't be purchasing neither the Xbox or PS4 for a long time for I know my Wii U will keep me occupied. But the Monologues, montages, old games, mutliplats,tv, music, and more monologues. I hand it to Microsoft because they showed only games. No other crap, and no kinect garbage. Not sure why Sony didn't bring any surprises.
