You are right. Though, I beleive you are in slight denial. The 360 came out a year earlier, so the Xbox was dropped a year earlier. So far in relation to the difference between launch, and death, the PS2 is being supported far beyond whats practical, to the detriment of their next console. Its a cold calculated move to crutch a bad release of the PS3, which I think they predicted, which was WHY they put the PS2 in the drivers seat. Im just curious if this is what happened with the transition of PS1 to PS2, or better yet, the SNES to the 64.

Only in Japan is it selling better. It isn't even out in Europe, and sells about 50k less a month in America. This is against a console thats already been out a -long- time. You have no idea what you are talking about.
