@Shingetsu @berethor099 Actually I have a degree in Game Design. And many of my friends work in the game industry. So yes, I know a thing or two about game development.
And how do you know so much about a single player of a game that hasn't come out yet? It could be amazing. It could be everything the company wanted out of it. You have no idea. You're basing your assumptions off of...what? Length? As you just pointed out, length is no basis of judgment for quality. So stop putting your foot in your mouth and just accept games for what they are; a form of entertainment. No one has an obligation to cater to you. And to be honest, no one is going to care if you buy it or not. You are your own worst enemy by hating something without knowing what it is.
It's people like you that feel they are "entitled" to something and boycott things before you even understand them that ruins the industry and gaming in general.
@berethor099 What has it in your head that a game has to be 20-30 hours? There was a time when 12-15 hours was considered plenty of gameplay. In fact, anything longer than that and I usually lose interest. Especially on this type of action/platformer game. This isn't some epic, huge JRPG. Stop treating it as such. 12-15 hours is fine. And the multiplayer is there for added longevity. Educate yourself on the process of how a video game is made before you blame "dev teams for taking time away from single player". That doesn't happen. There are dedicated teams for both aspects. That is the norm for the industry.
Why do people automatically think "less time" is put into something when multiplayer is announced? Seriously? Do any of you know how game studios work? Most have a dedicated SP team and a dedicated MP team. I don't know what started this "omgz they added someting to teh gaem?! teh sp must be realy bad then!!!! ahhh"Educate yourselves on the process of how a video game is made, please.
i like how when things like this shooting happens...people blame everything but themselves. id like to think we live in a fairly violence-free time... look at all the wars and prejudice and violence that existed before video games and movies... seriously. including both world wars. and if someone says its because of "guns"...so help me. you cant blame tools for destruction, only the user. and making guns illegal would just prevent honest people from being able to defend themselves from criminals that would find a way to get those guns anyway.
@RealFabioSooner I didn't have a problem with D3 being always online. I've always regarded the Diablo franchise as a social game. Who wants to purge evil without friends? Some of my best gaming memories come from Diablo 2 and battle.net.
this is why i hate pros...they think they are so much holier than thou because they're "sponsored". violence went 10-10 with 1 cap on that first round of the second game and did nothing but berate the 5th random on their team who was 2-10.... granted that's a terrible score, but she didn't do very well either. also calling people "kids" is something a kid would say... violence is like a 12 year old boy in a mildly attractive 20 something year old female body.
