Maybe they just like how unique their games are. Each game has been different and offer a tottaly new experience. Now with the power of the pS3 they expect something amazing after what thye were able to do with the pS2. Sums it up for me, also SotC was amazing. I have yet to play a game this gen that has put me in awe like SoTc did. It was like experiencing Final Fantasy VII, and Ocarina of Time all over again. Hopefully Team Ico's next game gives me the same feeling.
I'm hearing rumors that God of War 3 will likely release early Q4 of 2009 (Oct/Nov)... with that release God of War 3 will win 2009 hands down.
God of War 3 will be the biggest game of next year, have sales figures that are "Halo-caliber" and sell a ton of PS3's.
I own both a 360 and a PS3 and have already pre-bought Gears of War 2 (the biggest game of 2008) so ease off the flame war fan boy accusations...
I'm just stating an opinion that if God of War 3 does indeed release for Holiday 09, you can hand the 2009 trophy to Sony right now....

Thats funny because all major rumors and video game sites say 2009. Its even a rumor that it may come March 2009. The 2010 rumor was started on neogaf after E3 08. It was started by some major 360 fanboy who thought that every major Sony game will come in 2010 because GT5 is in 2010. I don't feel like finding that old locked thread . Point is, it has a higher chance of coming in 09 then 2010.
Seeing as how Sackboy is SONY's new official mascot. I'm pretty sure LittleBigPlanet will appear on SONY's PSP. I doubt it would be the same game as the PS3 version. Maybe a couple of levels, no create mode, and online co-op for the story mode.
Gears 2-Dom dies and Marcus swears vengeance leaving ANOTHER cliffhanhger. Resistance 2-Hale turns 100% Chimera then the game ends. God of War 3-Kratos doesn't die FFXIII 360-You just get credits FFXIII PS3-Lightning meets Prince and the game ends FFVXIII-Prince meets Lightning then the game ends.
He can do wonders for Halo seeing how its a series that people like to play outside of Japan. I don't like some of his “westernized” features added on in Metal Gear. I can really appreciate some of the things he's done for Metal Gear Solid 4 but not all things. Hopefully the next Metal Gear whether it be a new series of Metal Gear, a new Metal Gear Solid, or an expansion to the story for MGS4 will be fully Kojima influenced. Even he put down MGS4 at times. I want a 7th gen MGS that lives up to Kojima's expectations not some “westernized” bs Ryan can do wonders for Halo considering who its already a popular game in the west.
God of War: Chains of Olympus God of War I God of War ll God of War lll 3 great Sony exclusives and the 4th is TBA So in CoO, the tagline was “In the beginning there was chaos” The third chapter in the main story has the the tagline “In the end there will only be chaos” Does this mean that GoW lll is the final GoW game? I can imagine Kratos screwing up like Sony and somehow become an enemy of the Titans and Gods. Thus, the predictable death of Kratos at the end of the game. Anybody think that if this is true God of War will eventually have a new hero(and story) much like Metal Gear without Snake and Halo without Master Chief?
