Actaully, that's a general phenomenon on every platform. Outside Japan, almost every non-SquareEnix JRPG have sold relative poorly.
It is an genre that, overall, has not a massive appeal outside Japan, regardless of console.
Thats a fact, but we're not talking all jrpg besides the one you pointed out selling bad. Anyway, why do you think Last Remnant will do poorly in NA? Lost Odyssey did pretty good in NA.
Because US appealing games like Gears 2, Resistance 2, Dead Space, Left 4 Dead, and Wii Music will crush that game this holiday season. Imagine Gears 2 being released in Japan. But FFXIII, ToS:2, WKS, LR, and SO:4 were releasing around the same time. Gears 2 would get crushed in Japan. Now switch roles and come into reality, and thats exactly what gonna happen to Last Remnant this holiday season.You do know that Lost Odyssey outsold almost every JRPG on the PS2 except Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. It may be a surprise to you, but there are xbox 360 owners that like JRPGs.

With a very few compared to the other groups actually going out and buying LR.I don't plan on buying any of those games you listed for this holiday season. There are other people just like myself out there that will be more interested in Last Remnant then Gears 2. If a JRPG breaks 500k that is it selling really well. It is holiday season so game purchases will be going up.
Compare those “others” to Core 360 gamers Casual 360 gamers Wii gamers PS3 gamers In N.A. Those “others” won't help much compared to the other install bases
