@jenovaschilld: I think it's a very necessary option for PSVR, I mean the light on the controller. I don't really feel bothered by that light when playing normal games, but when playing with PSVR and using sight glasses, good lord is so distracting. But I found a good trick: I use Covid masks to cover the gap created by the glasses hahaha, it actually works very well.
Wireless controller charging would have been neat, but who knows, maybe it will come in the form of an accessory or it's in fact a yet to be revealed feature of the console. And I still have the hunch that Dreams will come pre-installed by default, something a la Playroom on PS4. That "create" button gives quite a hint. Other than that, I like the design but those curvy corners+its big size might make it a very delicate console. I just hope it will be phat PS3-like in terms of build quality and materials.
Thermal solution can come in two flavors: a) make the console bigger to put a huge fan inside; or 2) implement a highly efficient liquid cooling system. Option a means bigger console, option b means pricier console. It doesn't matter in the end, because most people will find a reason to complain.
@santinegrete: I support that. My whole family suffers from hernial disks (it seems it's hereditary) and hell, it's really bad. During these days of quarantine, I've had to go to the supermarket on foot and the sole act of carrying a big wheeled case with goods causes me back pain and migraine for the rest of the day. But I don't think that's the reason she left. Well, no one in their right mind does.
She left because the show sucks and the part of her brain that's still not infected with wokeness recommended her to leave now before her career sinks definitely.
@Atzenkiller: There, I'm right, you said it for me. Including a 4K movie player that no one asked is not precisely "value" nor a reason to charge more money.
If by "value" they mean a 4K bluray player, then I think it's not a good idea. The truth about 4K discs is that people buy mostly pirate copies, even if they won't admit it. And burning 4K movies is not worth it, it's a pain in the ass. No one's pirating 4K movies and 4K legit discs are selling worse than Vanilla Ice records. However, if people are willing to pay +$1000 for a cell phone, then why wouldn't they pay $600 for a console with more than decent technical features? People will buy it in the end. For most of them, it would be a brand choice, not pricing.
I'm all in for objective reviews. If a game deserves an 8, 7, 6 etc instead of a 10, that's ok with me. But the cons cited in this review are just lame. Complaining about looting in a zombie apocalypse game??? And Call Of Duty can be as violent as this game but no one complains about its violence "going unexamined and unpleasant". The gruesomeness of violence is never pleasant, no one needs to make any examination to reach that conclusion. However: I agree that this game deserves a good 8. Under all that super production wrapping resides the same mechanic of the games ND has been publishing for the last 13 years: explore, fight, explore again and fight again. I would take those 2 points off the final score for that single reason.
@xophaser: Well, it wouldn't be a bad idea. Look at Darksiders 3: a relatively new game may be good or bad, but they handled a female character perfectly. She didn't feel forced upon the players, whereas in games like TLOU2 is absolutely obvious that these characters are part of a bigger political message. And California-based studios are all in on that train of thought. Just imagine what they could do to our beloved Kratos...
