StormShadow2346 Blog

Back whether you like it or not...my blog!

Alright, alright, I know, that was a little bit evil, but hey, every sensible person has a dark side - some just don't know it yet.

Well, I've been playing quite a bit of Halo 2 recently, but I've also gotten back into WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2006, so there's still quite a bit of variety in the games I'm playing.

I watched SmackDown! last night, and I will be blatantly honest, I loved it.  It was a hell of a show.

Thing kicked off with King Booker and his Queen barging into Teddy Long's office.  The King whined about facing Vito, so Teddy instead had him face THE UNDERTAKER.  Woot.  And the King's reaction...well, it sounded more like the old Booker than the new King.

First match was Finlay/Regal vs. Lashley/Batista.  It was an OK match, Lashley and Batista won after Regal gets the receiving end of one of Lashley's spears.  I've seen better.

Next match was Chavo Guerrero against Rey Mysterio.  This wasn't a match, this was a brawl.  Most of the "match" was held outside the ring, as Rey beat the hell out of Chavo.  Match ended in a No Contest, and they'll face off at No Mercy.  Now all I'm waiting for is a hardcore-like stipulation.

Next was what I thought was the best match of the night - the Triple Threat Tag Team Title match.  London and Kendrick was up against The Pitbulls and the newest team of KC James and Idol Stevens.  The champs won it in what was perhaps the most intense match I've ever seen on SmackDown.  Damn, it was great, you had to see it to truly revel in its awesomeness.

Another notable match was Sylvan vs. Tatanka.  Sylvan is from Montreal, Quebec(he's their freaking ambassador, after all), so it was only fitting that the fans went insane for him.  Huge standing ovation.  He greeted them in French as JBL sat confused as hell.  Tatanka got booed when he made his entrance.  What else do you expect?  Sylvan won after snagging the ropes when the ref wasn't looking.  Tatanka, as usual, was pissed about the bad call, but the fans thought otherwise - they blew the damn roof of the joint.

And then there was the aforementioned King Booker vs. Undertaker match.  Mr. Kennedy was out on commentary during the entire match.  'Taker won by DQ after a visible low blow courtesy of King Booker.  After the King tried to make his exit, Lashley ran out, shoved him back in the ring, and 'Taker went to town.  Chokeslam, Tombstone, and the King was dazed and confused - not to mention the fact that Mr. Kennedy was scared out of his wits.

Other matches included Matt Hardy vs. Gregory Helms(Hardy won) and The Miz against Funaki(Miz was victorious).

Overall, SmackDown was surprisingly good - but then again, I haven't watched it in about a month(seriously).

And my thoughts on RAW?  With DX annihalating the McMahons and Cena becoming the champ again, RAW continues to be immensly popular.

Well, that's about all for now, so until next time, later!

The SonicSpot RPG has begun

SonicSpot's personal Sonic RPG, which, as clearly seen in the header, I will refer to as "SonicSpot RPG", has officially begun, so the topic will no doubt become one of the selling points of SonicSpot, formerly known as The Sonic Riders Union.

Update:Union news and a lot of Sonic

The Halo Live Union now has over 100 members, and is slowly growing in ranks.  Check it out if you haven't already.

The UWF has a new leader.  Edge-O-Matic resigned as the leader, so MikeMoose took over as the new leader.  For everything you need to know about the UWF as of now, check out the UWF for yourself!

SonicSpot, formerly known as the Sonic Riders Union, has wrapped up its Sonic Trivia Challenge, and Maxpower100 was the winner.  Congratulations go out to him.

Sonic 360 has a few new screenshots.  Not much, really, but if we get an actual game update, and not just some screenshots, I'll be satisfied.

That is all.

Read this particular post, you probably won't regret doing so

If you haven't heard already, Sentinelrv, leader of the HeadCrab Union, has devised a list of upgrades that would change the Union system so dramatically, your head would spin and possibly explode after reading it all.  It takes up about 3-4 posts, but it's all well worth it.  You can read all this by following the below link:

http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=24862011

If you like these ideas, get the word out to your fellow Gamespotters.  If you're a recruit in several unions, slap it into your signature that you support his idea.  Make sure you provide that link so others who haven't read it yet can.  If you're an officer or you lead a Union, post an article about this and provide the link.  Do whatever you can with the power you have - without, of course, breaking any rules - to get this idea out.  If enough people support it, then his ideas may just become a reality.  It's all in your hands now...

Co-founder of new Union

I can now safely say that I have co-founded a new union here on Gamespot.  It's called the Halo Live Union, and it's just basically for Halo fans of any kind - casual or hardcore - to get together and chat about Halo in all its forms, as well as talk about the gigantic XBL Halo community.  I'm hoping that this union is successful.

UWF Report: Superamind and triplehrulz...co-existing?

Alright, this has been one of the biggest topics in the UWF as of late.  In a recent title defense of the UWF Tag Team Championships, the champs, Superamind and triplehrulz, did something that shocked everyone in the Universal Wrestling Union - they co-existed!  The two had had a rivalry going on, but it looks like they have come to and are now working as one seamless unit, focusing on keeping the tag team titles.  I think they'll be the champs for a good few months if they keep this up.

Two unions, too much fun(?), and music. My first blog post, too!

I've joined two unions as of the day this blog post is posted.  So far, I've joined:

The Sonic the Hedgehog Union
The Universal Wrestling Union, home to UWF

The UWF is a fan-made wrestling fed, I think a written one.  It looks pretty good, actually, and I'm hoping that things will only get better at the UWF.  In fact, some of my future blog posts will be titled "UWF Report:", followed by a subtitle, just so you can keep up to date on the ongoing events in UWF.

And yes, I know that the Sonic the Hedgehog Union currently has an MIA badge, but I'm hoping that my contributions will remove that damn badge so the union can at least be considered partially active.

Now, I've been having a ball between Soul Calibur 3 and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, but is it possible to have TOO much fun with video games?  I think so, but I've never experienced that feeling before, nor do I really want to.

Now, onto the music.  I've recently purchased WWE Wreckless Intent, and it's pretty good, I like it.  Next up is Static-X's "Machine".  "Cold" is a freakin' awesome song, as is "Black and White".  My favorite song, of all time, as of now?  I don't have one.

Also, I just want to say a quick "woohoo!" for the fact that this is my first blog post.  It won't be my last, either.  Later for now!
