In the novel when he was raping the two 10 year old girls he nicknamed himself Alexander The Large, obviously a reference to his "size". So in the film they changed his name to Alexander DeLarge, though I believe in the film his surname is mentioned as Burgess in newspaper articles, same as the author.

Stop Swimming is the kind of song you use for someone who is departing or departed, like an homage to them. Trains is a more nostalgic, upbeat sort of a song, but has a melancholy all of its own, so I find it more suitable.
