Lol'd at Metroid Prime 2 being better than the first one. I bought the first one years ago, and was glued to the tv for a week, thought it was the best game ever. Then I bought the second one and the dude at Gamestop even told me it wasn't as good as the first, but I still went ahead and bought it anyways....for full price. Played it ONE time for about 20-40 minutes, maybe an hour or so (don't remember), put it down, and NEVER touched it again. It wasn't even a concious decision lol, i just had no desire to touch it again. It failed to pull me in like the first one. That day my gamecube sat in the corner of my room on the floor in a grocery store bag for literally 2 whole years in the same spot before I eventually sold it. The Metroid prime 2 disc was still in it lulz. I painted you that elaborate image just to convey to you how much better the first one was to the second.
Don't know why you guys are hating, it looks like one of the better PS3 exclusives to me. One of the better looking titles of next year to be honest. Certainly looks graphically better than Gears 3 that's for sure.
Apologize for all you want, but there's no excuse for a 6 year development time when the end product was so far from "perfection" (which is the excuse GT fanboys gave for the long development time "Yamamuchi is a perfectionist! Don't you dare question the long development time!) . They should have managed their time better. Yes, it was an ambitious game, but there other ambitious games out there that were finished in a timely manner and were more polished.

Well it's bit exactly as if it wasn't fruitful for them. People on the forums are making this whole "GT5 floppity flop" thing WAY WAY bigger than it actually is. This game is talked about on here by 360 fanboys like it's ****ing Lair or Genji or something.

^^^They didn't even want to release Gran Turismo 5 this year. The game is obviously one of the most ambitious projects ever started, and needed more time, but Sony didn't want to go another year without their highest selling franchise.

"hurr durr....PD are teh lazy devs!! Trololol" you say? You do realize that Gran Turismo 5 was not the only game they were working on in that timeframe right? In fact, Gran Turismo 4 wasn't even the last PS2 game they made. Tourist Trophy was. So, let's examine these 6 years alittle closer shall we? So, in the 6 year window between Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo 4, Polyphony Digital: -Started development, completed and SHIPPED Tourist Trophy, an entire PS2 game from start to finish. ( note that the game wasn't just released within this window, but the entire games development cycle ALSO took place within this timeframe) -Started production on Gran Turismo PSP -Stopped production on Gran Turismo PSP -Started, and completed production on Gran Turismo HD Concept (which was released on PSN) and released. -Started production on Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, completed production and shipped. This game went on to outsell every forza game ever made with an impressive 5 million units. Even after launch, they still spent months working on the game (patches) and an entire other version of the game was released in japan (spec 3) -Went back and resumed production on Gran Turismo PSP, and shipped it. It went on to sell 2 milion. -Oh and, Idk.....building their first full scale PS3 game of the generation, Gran Turismo 5 Which went on to sell 5.5 million in 12 days. . So out if all of that, that is 5 seperate projects that Polyphony Digital was working on at the same time, and with all of their efforts, they sold more software than Turn 10 in that same timeframe. They sound like pretty damn hardworking developers to me ;). They've even talked about how the developers used to keep sleeping bags in their offices. . So systm wars, now you know what Polyphony Digital was doing for 6 years and can stop spamming that question it in every single thread related to Gran Turismo or Forza. . Lettuce be reality, We will most likely see Gran Turismo 6 in 2012. They have even stated that Gran Turismo 6 won't take as long and their engine and all their tools, and most of the assets are already built.
Whoever tries comparing PC graphics with console graphics is in the wrong forum. Killzone 3 is living proof that we're in good hands gaming on the PS3.

Killzone 3 doesn't look as good as Gears of War 3 or UC.

Lol'd HARD @ Fallout 3 being in the running :lol: I lol'd even HARDER @ the fact that it beat out Metroid Prime 1 :lol: :lol: That alone makes this poll worthles IMO. Out of every game on that list, Metroid Prime or Metal Gear Solid 3 should have won. ****ing Fallout 3 beat out Metroid Prime ? Seriously? Fallout 3 was a good game, but it should be illegal to even mention it in the same breath as Metroid Prime, or even anything else up there. I can't help but think people only voted for it for the lulz.
