Been reading alot of damage control over Gran Turismo's sales lately. "Weah, weah.....shipped not sold, it only sold 2.9 million, herp derp" :roll: So does anybody have a link for that? Preferably one that does not include VGchartz or anyone who got their information from VGchartz. Right, didn't think so. God damn it's like the PS3 is not ALLOWED to succeed in an endeavor in system wars without being undermined. When it has superior graphics, you pretend like graphics don't matter. You then collectively cream yourself over a displaced hair strand or a sharper shoulder texture in Dead Rising 2 or red dead redemption as if the PS3 version is unplayable trash. You talk about PS3 games like they barely break 500k or something, but when it sells faster than your prescious halo, you just have to find some weak damage control excuse. "There shipped not sold!! Noble honorable Microsoft who never lies to us gives us SOLD to consumer numbers! (even though that's not possible, but we know that, we just need a reason to hate Sony!). When the PS3 has like 13 more games coming in 2010 than 360, it's "bu...bu..bu..teh superior multiplatz" which are usually basically identical, but when we compare God of War and Uncharted to Halo, all of a sudden, graphics don't matter :roll: The whole "shipped vs sold" BS has already been debunked here so I won't waste my time, but tell me, do you have a link for this whole "GT5 only sold 2.9 million, Sony r lie 2 us...they spin numbers" nonsense? If you dint have one or any way of proving it then please stop spamming "shipped not sold" in every GT5 thread. Kthxbai.

Its a flop, a game like GT needs to be getting 90-95%, not drifting around the mid 80s. Get over it. Theres plenty of other PS3 games that are better made and better scored. there's nothing to "get over" because I couldn't care less. And Im not denying that the game didn't meet it's expectations, but god damn, lemmings are acting like this game is Lair or something. All this "Forza killed Gran Turismo" threads are getting rediculous. Remember, Gran Turismo is STILL the highest rated racing series ever made. One "FLOP" does not change that. Lemmings are going overboard with the Forza >GT nonsense as if GT will never be AAA again.
On this make believe place called System Wars, GT5 supposedly 'flopped' But in reality, the game turned out to be a critically acclaimed success (no surprise here).

Just want to clear things up, I am going off of the gameplay that was shown in the trailer, and the gameplay shown in the behind the scenes video as well.
Why do people here always tear into games like Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 as being "short and linear 7 hour rents that are worthless after one weekend" and then proceed to worship Gears of War which is shorter than both of those games :? Games like MGS4 are also thrown in there, yet another game that is LONGER than gears of war. And then after tearing these games apart (specifically uncharted 2) you conveniently forget that Uncharted 2 not only has multiplayer, but it's multiplayer is significantly better than the broken mess that was Gears of War 2. You guys are all running on about how Your games have so much "replay value" and how Uncharted 2 is so "short and lacks replay value", and it's a 12 hour game, then proceed to hype Gears of War with its 5 hour campaign and inferior multiplayer? Seriously system wars? Not to mention that that the campaign itself in Gears 2 is terrible and is inferior to all 3 of the games I listed as far as campaigns go. Gears 2's campaign was one of the most pointless campaigns this gen. I rented it, played to the 3rd or 4th chapter, and returned it to blockbuster the next day without refund and got fallout 3 instead. Seriously, the only point in even playing that game was Horde Mode. I've just noticed this alot and I wanted to say something that kind of bothered me (not really, I couldn't really care less about system wars but still) /rant.
