Well, I havent played my 360 in six months (due to it breaking, me selling it, and being oblivious to the fact that I could have sent it back and got a new one in a matter of weeks.) But when I had my 360 all I played online was GOW. I went over to my friends house yesterday and played Halo 3 online for 3 matches and I can safely say that Halo 3 will be in my 360, when I get another one, for a long, long time.
Ok i sat idly by long enough. i cant stand all this hype about halo 3. its just another generic shooter! yet any and all teenagers dragged their mothers to wallmart at 12am yesterday night to recieve this subpar concluding trilogy. its only 9 hours long! so im guessing most of these people are just buying this just to spend their free time sniping. normally i can tolerate online gaming but the sheer amount of prebubescent teens out there who think they're bad-ass online was to overwhelmingly annoying for me. so basically i sold the game back to the game store and reserved the half-life 2 the orange box. now theres a shooter thats decent! hell resistance fall of man and the darkness have soo much more to offer than this sloppy trilogy.neko-splash
Overhyped? Well, I guess you're right it only made $170million in 24 hours, ONLY. (SARCASM)
Hmm this is a tough one. Halo 3 seems like it improved on everything from Halo 2, somehting sequels usually dont do. Mass Effect isnt out yet but Im sure it will best the KOTOR games which were fantastic. BioShock was amazing for me...the most fun ive had with a FPS/RPG hybrid since Dues Ex. Forza....a GREAT racing game, but racing games never win GOTY. I would like to see The Darkness up there, that was one of the most original games I have played in a long, long time. But, by the end of the year Halo 3 will reach 20billion sales (sarcasm). Dont forget that Halo and Halo 2 both won GOTY in their respective years. So my vote goes for Halo 3.

What are you talking about? I know tons of people who enjoyed Halo2. I enjoyed Halo2, I just didn't think the SP was as good as the first game, but the MP was stellar. That statement makes no sense man.

People LOVED Halo 2....thats why there is a Halo 3.
