So, they're hinting that online play might cost us something?
How many people here own Hellgate? How many of you pay for the extra goodies? How well is that actually working for the game/company?
Personally, I didn't like the demo and I refused to give the actual game a try because of it. Based off the demo, I would rather eat glass then pay for that game and then pay for extra content.
If Spore goes that route, it will be one less game that I'll pick up. I refuse to pay for games that offer extra stuff for extra money. To those that pay for this extra stuff, you're they ones that make these companies think they can keep doing this. And yes, I understand that I'm not required to spend extra money for extra DLC, that's not the point I'm trying to make though.
Thus the reason for PS3 and Xbox 360 games costing $60 now, instead of $50. People that spend the extra cash on "Limited Edition" copies of games, shows the industry that people have the money and are willing to spend that extra money on a game. We, the consumers, are allowing these companies to take more money from us then is necessary. It's up to us to stop that trend....
So, here's hoping that there is no fee to play Spore online!

Alright. Read the thread. Their not going to charge people to play this game, it would destroy everything Spore stands for. There isn't even any online play in Spore. It's a single player game, it's just that the game automatically downloads other peoples creations and puts them into your game where their controlled by an AI. Once again, there will be no monthly fee to play the game.........
