I don't think I'll ever buy or try to get into an MMO ever again, no matter how appealing. It'll be interesting though, to see how Bioware handles combat in an MMO - could be a disaster or something great. I can only play a game for a couple of hours at a time, some times not even that (except for Sundays). In an MMO, that's enough to maybe gain a level early on. MMO's have and continue to be the death knell for compelling PC video games.
Been downloading a lot from D2D and Steam....and mostly older games since the past 2-3 years for PC games have been terrible. Rockstar GTA Pack or whatever for $29 from Steam (GTA, GTA II, GTA III, GTA: VC, GTA: San Andreas) - never was a "huge" fan of these games, but am finding myself liking them quite a bit upon re-visiting, Vice City Jedi Academy (sold old boxed game years ago - d/l again from D2D) Left 4 Dead (short-lived fun - but got old quick) Titan Quest: Immortal Throne (great hold-over for whenever Diablo 3 decides to come out0 Mass Effect - (ugh, this game got lame quickly and I don't understand the love for it, and I am a big CRPG fan) #6 - Downloaded Madden 2008, suprisingly fun
I really don't understand Wow's popularity still at this point...I could never go back to it. For whatever reason I've only truly enjoyed Funcom's MMO's, AO and AoC
It was fun dont get me wrong, it just wasn't worth playing for long periods of time.Wasdie
Pretty much sums up MMO's in general, unless you have no plans to do anything with your life, or are a complete slob who doesn't leave his seat all day/night and are a chain smoker.
I still wonder why this overrated game is getting so much praise. The world is big and bland, the UI is clunky and barely functional, the gunplay is terrible and frustrating, (until you get better guns, but even then enemies do not react to getting shot until they die) the story is barely discernable and not at all captivating, and what's with the lack of voice acting on most npcs? Gameplay-wise, this game is a step down from Deus Ex.Disco_Joe
Amen, I got into the 2nd or 3rd area (underground) and just quit the game eventually and un-installed it altogether.
STALKER has to be one of the most overrated games ever, it couldn't touch Deus Ex.
I do not understand the love for this game from some people - it's a steaming pile of sloppy, buggy, poorly implemented poo.
